Hey Mr. Way

'' Gerard...'' I said again, trying to get my words out, '' Umm...do you...do you like Miss Price...?''
'' What? No! No Frankie, I don't, I swear! I fucking swear on my life, I don't like her, at least, not like that. She's okay as a colleague, nothing more! '' Gerard exclaimed.
'' I-I'm sorry, I was just asking, I was scared because of the way she flirts with you, '' I said shakily since Gerard surprised me with his raised voice. Gerard sighed and put his head in his hands.
'' I'm sorry for shouting, '' he said with a muffled voice through his hands.
'' It's okay-'' I started to say but I was interrupted by someone.
'' Hey, Gerard, I'm back! And I brought food! '' a cheery voice called. I turned around to see Miss Price opening the door.
'' Oh, '' Miss Price said bitterly, '' what's he doing here? ''
'' Frankie was just here to discuss homework with me, since he was off the other day and wanted to catch up,'' Gerard said quickly.
'' Oh, Frankie is it? You told me it was Frank. You know, you shouldn't give pet names to your students, to some people it seems rather odd and creepy, '' Miss Price said, narrowing her eyes at me even though she was talking to Gerard.
'' Well, I don't find it odd or creepy, '' I said. Miss Price just smiled at me, but it was obviously fake. She then went over to Gerard's desk and sat on it again. I looked over to Gerard who flicked his eyes over to me quickly then back down to the sheet in front of him.
'' Uh could you not sit on there please, '' he said quietly, '' I was told its not designed to hold the weight of a human. ''
Miss Price looked shocked, and went red.
'' Are you trying to call me fat?! '' she raised her voice.
'' N-no! I'm not, I was just told when I was given it by the school not to put anything too heavy on it and not to sit on it because it's not designed to hold the weight of a person,'' Gerard replied.
'' Well then, '' she huffed before getting up off the desk. She left the classroom without another word, slamming the door behind her.
