The day continued exceedingly slow, I had already asked Ember to stay after school. It was currently last period and I was so anxious. My anger has been boiling since our little rendezvous under the bleachers. How could someone ever want to hurt someone as beautiful and prefect as her? Even worse why would she want to hurt herself? My brain is racking itself, trying to figure out a solution to her problem.

"Mr. Way? Why are you crying?" Some barbie snapped me out of my head.

Wait?! WHY AM I CRYING?! Oh yeah because I care about Ember.

"uh- oh um n-nothing just some personal issues." I said, wiping my face.

The bell rang out and I told the students to put their essays on my desk before they leave. They did so and filed out of the room. I waited impatiently for the purple haired angel to come to my room. Soon enough she shuffled into my room with her head down. Something was obviously wrong.

"Em, baby, whats wrong?" using the nickname made me feel like she was mine, though she wasnt. "N-nothing." She mumbled. "Its obviously not nothing. Please I cant help you unless you tell me whats wrong." I begged. "Dont worry it was just some bitches saying stuff." She shrugged. I didnt believe her but I decided to not push the subject. I just pulled her over to me and embraced her into a hug. "Dont worry about them theyre just jealous of your awesomeness." I chuckled.

She laughed too and pulled away, but when she did she suddenly looked down at her jeans. On her perfect white jeans were three drops of blood. I trailed my gaze up to see the drops were coming from under her sleeve. "Em? Roll up your sleeve please?" I looked concerned. She shook her head no and backed away. "Ember. Roll. Up. Your. Sleeve....Now!" I used my best assertive teacher voice. She shyly nodded and did as i asked. I saw her porcelain skin lined with fresh cuts and bruises. I immediately knew what I had to do. I have to protect her. I cant let this happen anymore.

I ran to my desk and grabbed my hoodie. I didnt care if it got blood on it I just wanted her safe. I held it to her arm, adding pressure to stop the bleeding. I picked her up and carried her to the staff bathroom and set her on the sink, locking the door behind us. I grabbed a couple paper towels and wet them. I removed the hoodie and cleaned her wounds. She winced at the pain but I reminded her that it had to be done. Once i was finished I looked her in the eyes, face to face with her.

"Please. Dont do that anymore." I sighed

"No promises." She muttered.

"you know, I dont even see why you care so much anyway. Im a worthless, waste of space. I shouldnt even be breathing." She added.

It shattered my heart to hear her talk out herself like that. I had to tell her, come clean and admit my affections. Maybe then she would see.

"Ember, listen to me. I know its not right and I know I shouldnt feel this way, but I love you. I know you probably dont love me back, but since that moment this morning I knew I loved you. It was love at first sight and I want nothing more than for you to be safe, and Ive been racking my brain all day just to find away to maintain your saftey. I think ive found a solution so please just hear me out....Move in with me." I said, rambling on a bit.

Her face was expressionless, I couldnt figure out what she was thinking. She was silent until she finally spoke up with her head hanging low. "I love you too." She mumbled, barely audible. I felt my heart shine a little in that moment. "l would love to move in with you but my dad would kill me." She whispered. "Thats the point! He cant hurt you anymore if you live with me. I'll keep you safe." I exclaimed. She smiled a bit at my excitement.

She snaked her fingers into my hair and pulled me into a quick kiss, then pulled away smiling and put our foreheads together. "this is so crazy but yes. Yes I will move in with you." We pulled away completely and I picked her up off the sink, setting her carefully on the ground. We rushed out of the bathroom and to the classroom because I still had some paperwork to do.

We had been sitting there about five minutes before she started to get fidgety.
"Hun, are you getting bored?" I chuckled. She nodded quickly so I decided to put on some music. "Thnks For The Mmrs" By Fall Out Boy began playing she started to sing without hesitation. It was the most beautiful sound I had ever heard. Without thinking I started singing along too while grading the stack of essays. Soon enough she stopped singing and I was left singing alone, without even noticing. The song ended and she was clapping. "You're a good singer Mr. Way." She cooed. "Why thank you." I beamed.

"you know what? Fuck it. I'll grade these later." I sighed, shoving the assignments into my bag. I stood up and grabbed Em by her hand and dragged her out to my black Mercedes Benz S Class. She gawked at my car for a minute before getting in and buckling up. I peeled out of the parking lot and drove the mile to my house. I got out and opened the door for her then unlocked the door.

"welcome to my crib!" I laughed as the door swung open.

"its nice." She gawked.

"thanks. Wanna meet my awesome roommate?" I asked.

"Sure!" She smiled wildly.

"AYE FRANK! COME MEET OUR NEW ROOMMATE!" I called.

Within seconds Frank came speeding down the stairs and hugged Ember. I felt a pang of jealousy in my chest but shook it off. They immediately hit it off and I was happy. That is until Frank asked a questioned that made everything uncomfortable.





"So... wanna bang?"
