You're Not In This Alone

After the bath I feel very relaxed, the soothing hot water and Ryan's hands and lips all over me, paired with the mind blowing orgasm I just received helping to relax me. I dry off when I get out of the water, pulling on underwear and tying my robe around me, too lazy to get dressed properly. I leave the bathroom and head back into the living room where Sophie and Brendon are laying on the floor playing and giggling together and it makes me smile. "You guys having a good time?" I ask and they both snap their heads over to look at me. Brendon smiles at me and nods and Sophie lets out a little excited squeal. I walk over and kneel beside her, picking her up and cuddling her to my chest. "You being good for uncle Bren?" I ask and she rubs her face against my robe, letting out a soft cooing noise. I slowly stand up and walk towards the kitchen, fixing Sophie a bottle of formula but when I offer it to her she turns her head away and fusses and I sigh before sitting it down and walking towards the bedroom, settling down against the headboard before pulling my robe open a little and settling her against my chest, positioning her to feed. As soon as she's close enough she latches on and starts sucking and I lean back fully, making myself comfortable while she feeds, her little hand resting against my chest. A minute later Ryan comes in and smiles softly at me. "I thought we were trying out the formula instead?" I sigh before saying "She didn't want it." "Aww baby" he coos at me, climbing onto the bed next to me and wrapping his arm around my waist, knowing I don't particularly enjoy breast feeding.

Once Sophie is fed I burp her before Ryan takes her and changes her diaper, changing her into pyjamas as well and he comes back over to the bed, handing her back to me and I cuddle her to my chest, wrapping her in her blanket and gently rocking her side to side while Ryan sings softly to her and after a few minutes her little eyes drift closed and her breathing evens out. Once she's fully asleep I stand up and lay her in her crib in the corner, covering her up before leaving the room with Ryan, joining Brendon in the living room and we start a movie, ordering in pizza and I relax, falling asleep on the couch with my head against Ryan's shoulder. The next morning Ryan and I go to look at a two bedroom apartment a few blocks away, Ryan having made a lot of sales recently and we are looking to move out on our own. The place is perfect and we sign the papers before Ryan has to leave for a meeting with a gallery director and I stay and finish up with the last minute details. When I'm done I leave with Sophie and as we step out into the hallway I see a guy leaving the apartment next door. "Hey you guys moving in?" He asks and I smile and say "Yeah." "Hey have we met before, you look familiar?" I shake my head as I keep a polite smile on my face. "I don't think so, I'm Ruby and this is Sophie." A strange look crosses his face before he says "I'm Bert." Sophie starts to fuss so I smile apologetically and say "Well I better be going, it was nice to meet you." "Yeah, if you guys need anything don't hesitate to ask." "Thanks" I say before passing him as I walk down the hall, heading over to the guitar store to see Dad.
