Extraordinary Girl

Chapter 7: Amnesia

Frank sat on the bus the next day, drinking coffee in the back lounge. He was wrecking his brain for what he could possibly have done wrong to fuck up his relationship with Jamia, but he would come up with nothing.
He sighed deeply and picked up a pen and paper that he found lying on the coffee table of the bus and began writing random lines down.
'Would you even turn to say: I don't love you like I did yesterday.'
'If you could hear the dreams I have my dear..'
'Rest your hopes on my lips and taste my venom, let my sorrow weigh you down and feed upon you.'
Frank read the lines again. Was he really sinking THAT low now?
He rubbed the back of his neck and put the pen down, taking out his phone from his back pocket. He scrolled down his contacts until he found her number.
Jamia.
How he fucked this up he really did not know, but if there was something that he was now sure of in his life, it was that he loved her. With all his heart. But he fucked it up big time by trying to pursue his dream.
Frank tapped his fingers on the small table of the tour bus, deciding whether or not he should call her. He wanted to get her back. He HAD to get her back. No matter what. Nothing was keeping him from being with her again, even if he had to go to extreme measures to show her how much he loved her.
A grin spread across Frank's face. Why shouldn't he actually try and put some effort into getting her back instead of being a miserable little fuck and crying about it?
He was now walking around the bus in circles with his newly found enthusiasm, trying to collect as many sheets of paper as he possibly could.
"Frank? What the fuck...?"
A sleepy Ray asked, popping his head out of the bunk. Actually only his fro was visible, and Frank had to suppress a laugh.
"Well good morning fro monster, I am just....cleaning up..."
Frank mumbled, but he couldn't hide a grin forming on his face.
Ray only raised an eyebrow at the guy, shaking his head. Frank was such a weirdo in his eyes sometimes.
"Well...okay then Frodo Baggins, but keep it down, I need my beauty sleep.."
With that, Ray shut the curtain to his bunk again, leaving Frank alone in his search for scissors and some glue.
He was gonna make this right.
When he finally found all of the things he needed to create his little surprise for Jamia, he took a blank sheet of paper and a pen and began to write.
"For Jamia..."
-
It was a rainy day in Jersey, and Jamia was sitting in her family's house, drinking a cup of hot chocolate and watching TV.
She had left her and Frank's apartment for the weekend because she needed to clear her head, but she was planning on asking Frank if he wanted her to find a new place to live or if he was gonna let her keep the apartment. So in the meantime she took the dogs and went home, into the welcoming arms of her family.
"Jamia hun, do you need anything else? Are you hungry?"
Her mum asked, appearing in the doorstep. Jamia looked at her with a small smile, noticing that her mum was dressed very nicely today.
"No mum, thank you I'm fine."
She only smiled and sat down beside her daughter, resting her hand on Jamia's thigh.
"Baby...I don't think you should just leave him like that. It's not good for you I can see it in your eyes. You are making this impossibly hard for both of you...and Frank is such a sweet guy. Please think about it again instead of shutting him out of your life forever because you miss him..."
Jamia only looked down, feeling a deep ache in her chest. She knew her mum was right, but she simply didn't have the courage to call or text Frank after what she had done to him. He was devastated and she knew it. Why? Because she felt exactly the same.
Sighing, she faced her mum again.
"I'll think about it mum.."
With that, her mum stood up and gave her a kiss on her forehead, leaving Jamia with her own thoughts again.
She really missed him. More than she could have ever known.
Jamia softly scratched Pepper's ear, thinking about everything and nothing. Her head was too full with Frank, it was making it impossible to function for her at the moment.
She rested her head onto the back of her sofa, listening to the rain and the sound of her family interacting. She also hear the soft sound of the doorbell ringing and her mum talking to the postman.
Everything was normal. Completely normal.
And she hated it.
"Jamia? Darling?"
She heard her dad suddenly shout from the kitchen.
"Yes?"
Jamia checked the clock and was even more confused when she saw that it wasn't even time to have food yet.
"Come here, a parcel arrived for you."
Jamia frowned. Who would send her a parcel? As far as she remembered, she didn't order anything either.
Puzzled, she went into the kitchen and saw a huge parcel lying on the table in front of her dad and Elliott.
"Oh? I didn't order anything..."
Jamia mumbled and stepped closer to the huge ass thing.
"Well obviously you didn't, because it is from a certain someone and it may interest you..."
Elliott grinned, looking at her puzzled little sister.
And that was when Jamia finally read the address line, and her heard almost stopped beating.
"I...It's from Frankie..?"
