The Light Behind His Eyes

Lindsey was our first official customer. She grabbed a mug of coffee, rented out a comic, and sat down. Her eyes would glance up to me every other second. I was looking at her too. From what I was told by her, she was in a band. She even said that Frank and I should come and see her play. Frank didn't say anything, so I said yes...I should have just kept my eyes to myself because Frank said, "She's pretty huh?" What was that supposed to mean?
I shrugged, trying not to sound interested, "She's okay." god damn Gerard, stop being attracted to her. Your heart belongs to Frankie and no one else. I turned my attention to him, "How about after work we go see a movie?"
Frank raised a brow, "Oh? What about Lindsey?"
I grinned, "My, my, is Frank jealous?"
Frank scoffed, but didn't say anything.
Lindsey walked up to us, "It's really nice here. I might drop by more often." She smiled. Her charms are deceiving.
I smiled, "You can come anytime you want, dear Lindsey." Dear Lindsey. God I'm a fucking idiot.
I can hear Frank laughed from behind. He repeated my words, "Dear Lindsey."
Lindsey grinned, "I thought it was cute." Her eyes sparked at me, "I better get going. See you two later." She blew a kiss before walking out the door.
Frank was murmuring to himself with his back turned to me. I couldn't make it out, but I can tell it was about Lindsey. This was actually pretty nice. It was good to know that Frank gets jealous. I rested my chin on his shoulder, "Frankie, what do you say to that movie date?"
"I'll go but one thing is for sure, it's not a date."
I grinned, "Playing hard to get?"
Frankie smiled as he turned to me, "Honey, if I was playing hard to get you wouldn't have had a chance in the first place."
oh, sassy. I like. very much.
"Oh, so I have a chance?" I chuckled.
Frank laughed, "Let's just get through the day."
