The Light Behind His Eyes

I drove slowly down the empty road, looking out for my bookstore-that's when he caught my eye. He was wearing a dark thin sweater which I thought was crazy because it was freezing outside. He looked up at me as I drove by slowly. His eyes sparked-which was odd because there was no sun or a hint of light. I don't know what grabbed my attention.

   I’ve always wanted to go back to my hometown and open up a bookstore.

   If I didn't know any better, I would say you were checking me out

   High school had changed a lot since my freshman year.
