Everything Will Be OK

***Gerard’s POV***
It has been about an hour since school ended and I was still in my classroom grading projects. It usually never took me so long to grade, but I couldn’t help myself from thinking about Taylor. She was just so…so…perfect. The way our lips locked and how her beautiful eyes would look straight into mine.I really did like her. But how would I know that she felt the same way.I mean why would she be attracted to ME, her art teacher. She probably has her eyes on another attractive fellow anyways. I rubbed my weary eyes, trying to get myself to get back on task. Come on Gerard, focus. I lifted my head from my desk and continued to grade the assignments, when the thought hit me. What if she told someone about the kiss? Even worse, what if she had reported me for sexual harassment? Shit! How could I have not thought about this before?I began to worry more and more, as my headache from my last night’s hangover, came back. Oh my god how could I be so fucking stupid?! I grunted, holding my head in pain.I need to have a talk with her as soon as possible tomorrow. Ugh if only she was here right now.

I collected all my corrected projects and papers, and headed out of the classroom to my old station wagon.I let out a sigh of exhaustion. Finally time to go home and just relax.
When I got home I parked my car near the curb and entered through the front door.I quickly striped off my shoes and tie, as I walked on my way to the kitchen. “Mikey I’m home!” I yelled, signaling my arrival.I opened the fridge and took out an ice cold Budweiser. I began to really like beer again. I don’t even remember why I stopped drinking it in the first place. I consumed some of the bottled alcohol, when I began to hear some murmuring from upstairs.I wonder who was up there with Mikey. Probably one of his friends or something. I ignored the muffled conversations, when I began to hear several loud footsteps coming down the stairway.

I turned my head to see none other than Mikey, Ray, frank, and…Taylor. My body froze. What was she doing here? ”Hey Mikey. I didn’t know you were having friends over?” I asked, trying not to focus my eyes on Taylor. Oh yeah sorry, I forgot to let you know. Its ok with you right?” I nervously rubbed the back of my neck. “Oh uh…yeah s-sure it’s ok with me.” I stuttered. He beamed from my response. “Oh I forgot to introduce you two. Taylor, this is my older brother, Gerard. And Gerard, this is my new friend, Taylor.I awkwardly reached out my palm and we shook hands. “It’s nice to meet you, Taylor.” I said in a slightly sarcastic tone. She smirked. “Oh, umm… nice to meet you too, Gerard is it?” Mikey and I nodded. It seemed as we both didn’t want to make it awkward by letting Mikey know that we know each other. So we both just kind of played dumb. “Well, we were thinking that we might go to the music shop down the street. So could you give us some money to pay for a new CD?” Mikey asked while placing his arm around Taylor. She blushed. This made me confused. Does he like her? He giggled as he looked into her eyes. This made me furious. I didn’t want HIM touching her. My cheeks became hot with anger. “So, can we? “Mikey asked again, since I didn’t answer his question. ”I don’t have any money on me.” I lied. “I’m sorry, but may I please have a minute with my brother?” I replied, pulling Mikey into the next room. “What the hell was that? “He asked annoyed. I ignored him. “Do you like her or something?” I whispered not wanting Mikey’s friends in the kitchen to hear. ”What?” I grasped his arm again. “Are you dating her? “He looked at me with a puzzled look. “What, Taylor? No! Were just friends. I mean she’s pretty and all but…I don’t like her like that. ”I was satisfied with his answer and let go of him. “Hey, umm Mikey, I need to get on home now. I will see you later.” Yelled Taylor from the front entrance. ”Ok bye. See you tomorrow! “He announced. We both heard the door slam. Why was she leaving so early? Was it because she found out that I was Mikey’s brother and it made it awkward? Or what if…what if she heard our conversation?!
