Gerard’s Point of View


“Well carry on…”


Another one of them has died. I’m surprised that there are still some alive. They all die so painfully. We died painfully.

After picking those who die I normally experience everything that happened during their death. Let’s say I haven’t got the easiest job. It is very hard and emotional. You don’t know half of the deaths I have experienced. Again and again…

Dying on repeat. I guess that’s what I get for being the leader of this parade. I get to feel everyone’s pain and suffering but that also means I have a better chance of helping them to survive.

This is weird. I would normally have the pain and suffering now from the patient – but I haven’t. I think I might have to go over to the person to see if it will work.

There she was. Her cherry red hair that was attached to her head, dangled just like ribbons. Her dark chocolate eyes looked like they held too many secrets. She had a slightly curved body but she had skeleton legs. She was wearing a night gown that you find in hospitals which matched her pale white skin. For someone who just died she was beautiful. I walked over to her and handed her a Black Parade jacket to change into.

“hello mam’ I’m Gerard Way, the leader of the black parade. What’s your name?”

“Nice to meet you Mr. Way… I am Jade, Jade Willow” she said shyly.

“Pleasure to meet you Jade, Jade Willow, and please call me Gerard? Mr. Way is so much effort to say.”

“Sure, um Gerard where do I need to go? I mean I just died and I’m in a little bit of shock. I never believed the black parade was real so this is all kinda new for me” I just wanted to hug her. She was very unusual. I knew this for a fact as I haven’t found out about her death yet. This hasn’t happened since the last girl.

“Oh I will walk you up to the building where you’ll be living from now on. Imagine how I felt I didn't even know I would have this job” I joked.

She just giggled at me. She had a cute laugh. I knew for a fact I wanted to make her laugh all the time.

We made our way up to her room. I am still freaking out about why I haven’t experienced her death. Maybe I should explain to her but I don’t want to scare her.

“Jade, can I ask you something?” shit why I did I even bother asking.

You Gerard Way are a massive idiot!

“Sure you can” she smiled. Oh her smile is beautiful.

“Please don’t freak but when someone dies and comes here I normally experience their death. But I haven’t experienced yours… how did you err… die?”

Her smile disappeared and she looks like she is about to cry a waterfall. Oh shit.

“I don’t want to say… I’m sorry… just I’m not ready yet. It was a very painful death.”

I have never felt so guilty and stupid. Why did I even ask?

“No jade don’t say sorry… I asked the question so but you can answer in your own time. You can trust me.” I honestly wanted her to trust me. I have so many dark secrets of my own so I would never spread her story.

I walked her into her room and I started to walk and she began to close the door but she spoke before she got to that “thank you Gerard.”

I smiled at her and walked off.
