Hide Your Face, So The World Will Never Find You

I woke up with the tingle of Franks lips still on mine, and a plastered smile that nothing could ruin. I stretched as I stood. Everything was just amazing, minus the fact that Blind [A/N: I WAS READING THROUGH THIS AND JUST NOTICE I SAID BLINK INSTEAD OF BLIND I AM SO SORRY XD] had sent our lives into complete hell and we could all die at any moment. That and Franks heart. It hurt seeing him with that machine. Buzz Kill told us that he'd only survive at most 24 hours without it. But he is alive! My brother is alive! My bestie is alive! I am alive! And we can fight against Blind, and we can win.

I dug under my bed grabbing my bag that I used as a dresser. I pulled out my jeans from yesterday, and the day before...and the day before, but there isn't many chances to wash your laundry. I followed by pulling out a simple, yet sorta dirty, white shirt. Again laundry mats aren't easy to come by.

Lastly I grabbed my blue jacket. Throwing it on quickly I stepped away from my tent. I walked around quickly saying a few "Heys" and "Good Mornings". I made it all quick. I had one destination, and one destination only.

To see Frank.

On my way I let my mind wander to when we first met. I mean, the best day of my life. He was the new kid who sat alone. So Ray, Mikey, and I decided to say hi. Friendship became something more and quickly. I fell in love from the moment we kissed. And I fall again everytime we kiss now.

"Gee! I need to talk to you!"

I turned to find Phantom. Her hair was a mess, her face flushed red, and her breathing heavy. If it weren't for the fact she was holding her gun like a lifeline I would've thought she was about to tell me she had sex with my brother.

"Phantom? What's going on?"

My voice showed more annoyance than I had planned. Before I knew it her lips were on mine. She clutched to my jacket, keeping me there. I couldn't move away, and I refused to kiss back. It lasted a full 60 seconds before she pulled away, there were tears in her eyes,

"Gee, I love you and I am so sorry"

"What--"

Gunfire. Everywhere. I started freaking out immediately. Frank. Ray. Mikey. No no no no no no no!! I will not lose them again! I ran and ran, to Franks tent. Empty. Mikeys. Empty. Rays. Empty. FUCK! The gunfire became more rapid. It was a bloodbath. Everyone was at battle. Everyone besides Phantom. Who stood next to Korse firing at the Killjoys.

"TRAITOR!"

I heard Mikey scream out as he ran towards her weapon drawn. I ran towards him, but not soon enough. Korse brought his weapon down on his head. Mikey fell unconscious onto the ground. I screamed,

"NO!"

Phantom looked at me in fear. Suddenly she ran towards me. Shoving me put of the way as Korse shot. She took a bullet for me. Korse seemed angry...and sad. He kneeled next to my brother and took him away. I hurried and grabbed Phantom. As Korse left so did the rest of the Blind soldiers.

Buzz Kill ran to me as did Ray, Frank not far behind. Carrying the machine with him. We were all out of breath. We went from dozens to a small few. It was tragic. Now the traitor amoung us laid dying in my arms.

"Gerard, I have to tell you something...my name is Kat...The awkward girl who always stared at you in high school...Korse...is my father...I wanted to warn you all, but never got the chance. I know you could never forgive me, for what I've done, but I fell in love with you..."

"Kat?"

"Yeah..."

She smiled weakly. Then it hit me. My brother was just taken.

"Mikey...."

"I'll go after him."

Frank interrupted all my thoughts.

"No way in Hell am I going to let that happen!"

"Gee, I am our weakest link. They'll expect you. They won't expect me."

"Gee, he's right...This was planned...He wants you. The true leader of the fabulous Killjoys...He won't expect Frank...and then we'll send backup...A few hours after he leaves..."

Phantom flinched as the wound in her gut began to ooze more blood. I frowned, yes. She had betrayed us all. She was the daughter of the enemy, but she had a heart of gold.

"Fine. But two hours then backup follows and I'm part of that team."

I mutter causing her to smile and look at Frank. With her dying breath she giggled,

"Not a single scratch on her"

She tossed Frank the keys to her car. I took her hand in mine and felt tears pick at my eyes as her eyes fluttered shut.

There was a moment of silence as I sniffled,

"Let's kick dome Blind ass and avenge Phantom"


There were cheers of agreement. As Frank smiled, he came close to me. Pressing his lips against mine in a short gentle kiss. I took his hand,


"Give'em Hell kid..."
