The anticipation of a perfect night

I know that it's looks like Frank is some sort of sexual predator whose trying to rape Gerard but remember, Frank is somewhat like Gerard, too scared to make the first move. With that being said, Frank didn't do anything sexual with or to Gerard. Instead of what you're all thinking, Frank didn't rape Gerard in his sleep. That would have been unacceptable, even for Frank. Frank respected Gerard too much do something like that.

When Gerard was finally asleep, Frank pulled out his sketchpad and slowly drew Gerard as he slept. Since Gerard was asleep for 6 hours so that's how long Frank drew him. For six entire hours, Frank drew Gerard in his footy, fuzzy pajamas. He drew everything, every wisp of hair that had fallen in his face, to the tiny fibers on his pajamas, even the freckles on his cheeks. Frank sat in silence all night as he slowly and intricately drew Gerard. Frank finished just before 6 am, when Gerard woke up. But before that, Frank had hid the sketchpad back in his room before Gerard woke up.

After he woke up, he got a text from his mom saying to come home right away because Mikey needed to be babysat. Gerard left right after he woke up, he actually drove back to his house in his pajamas. Gerard might have left Frank's house, but the drawing of him that was under his bed would be there for awhile. It was the most detailed thing Frank had ever drawn, and now he had it forever. Out of all the things they did last summer, that was their favourite. Even though they had never told each other that, it was. Gerard and Frank had done a lot of things over the summer- they went to music festivals, went on nature trails, and even went to a few museums. The nature trails and museums were of course gerard's idea, if they weren't Frank wouldn't be caught dead in those places.But since it was Gerard, Frank was cool. At about 2:35, Frank zoned back in to the real world when his math teacher yelled at him because he wasn't even pretending to pay attention.

"Mr.Iero, are we in tune with the lesson?" Mr.Fisher asked condescendingly.

"Yes", Frank said flatly in a tone that didn't imply any kind of attitude. Frank couldn't afford to mouth off to any more teachers, so he always used a plain tone when a teacher asked him something.
Meanwhile in French, Gerard sat quietly. There was only a lecture today, so all Gerard had to do was take notes. Which he did, Gerard respected his teacher too much to deviate from the classwork. Of course.

Even though Gerard was taking notes, his mind was in another place. Gerard was busy making up fake senarios that may or may not tomorrow night. Gerard's philosophy was that he had to be prepared both mentally and physically. Anything could happen, he just wanted to be ready. Thank god it was 2:45, both Gerard and Frank really wanted to go home. But Gerard knew that Frank would want to come over and coordinate all the details, so nothing would go wrong. this of course, freaked Gerard out a lot. His house and room were clean, but he still extremely nervous and for no apparent reason too. He had nothing to worry about, Frank liked Gerard too, so he was just as nervous. Since this wasn't just something that could be coordinated over the phone or Facebook chat, someone had to go over to someone else's house. With that in mind, Gerard was scared that he would break something. Frank's house wasn't very delicate, but neither was Gerard.

Back in Math class, an ''out of tune'' Frank continued drawing his favourite person, Gerard. Since Frank had incredible drawing skills, he could essentially draw Gerard in any position he pleased. I know that sounds like fun, but it really did more harm than good. Imagine the sheer awkwardness if someone else found a drawing by a secretly gay rebel of his strangely girlish best friend in his bed cuddling with him. Or that other drawing he did, where they're both eating cotton candy while riding a shark. Basically, if anyone else saw Frank's deranged artwork, Frank would be utterly fucked, and not by Gerard. Fucked in the sense that everything he's ever done to establish his "bad-boy image" would completely just evaporate. Frank was infamous for always getting into trouble, even when rebelling didn't make any sense. Frank always got into hot water over the stupidest things. Frank Iero was truly a rebel without a cause. He wasn't fighting over anything, and he wasn't fighting for anything. Even so, that's what everybody knew Frank for. So, if anyone ever found those cutesy drawings of him and Gerard, all of his troublemaking will have been in vain. With that being said, Frank hid everything about him that suggested artistic capability- especially the slightly too intricate art of his.

While in French, Gerard looked up at the clock. 2:55. Great, just five more minutes. Then, the day would be over. The school portion, that is. Since Gerard knew it would only be a few hours until Frank would eventually send a text and ask to come over to plan, he wanted to go home and get ready as soon as possible. That way, even if the entire Prom for them was a flop, he would at least still have the memory of the innocent planning. After pondering the logistics, Gerard looked up at the clock again. It read 2:57, just three more minutes to go. Now would be the ideal to start getting ready to leave, but Gerard just couldn't. He was still having his awkward little daydreams about Frank. Just when they were about to "kiss", the final bell rang. That's it, school's out. Gerard quickly sprung up and packed up his stuff.
Meanwhile back in Math, Frank had had his stuff packed up ten minutes ago, he was more than ready to leave.
Both of them, in the same moment, began walking towards their lockers.
