Love and Bullets
First impressions
A gentle tapping on my shoulder, followed by words like 'dear', woke me up from my slumber. For a moment I was confused but then remembered the tour and plane ride. And, sadly, I remembered the annoying children. My eyes turned toward my savior, which was an old lady with a cute smile.
"The planes empty, and I noticed you were snoozing." She had that adorable old person voice. I bet she shook a little whenever she poured her juice.
"Oh, thanks mam!" I said, quickly unbuckling my seatbelt. "So are you coming to Canada for a vacation or returning home from somewhere?"
"Oh, I'm visiting my grandchildren. My family should be here to pick me up." She smiled and pulled out her wallet then proceeded to show me photos of her grandchildren while I pulled out my suitcase.
"Aw, they're precious." I said, taking a moment to look at the children. Three young boys. One looked about 14, then the others looked slightly younger.
"Indeed. So why're you here?"
"I'm touring with a band as their photographer." We were walking into the main lobby by now.
"I hope it goes well. I see my family, I better go and greet them. Have fun, darling!" She said, then walked toward a nice looking family.
I was glad she wouldn't be alone here.
I sat down in a chair, still tired from my nap. About a day before I left I got a text saying that Ray, from the band, would be here to pick me up. I couldn't see him anywhere, so I took a moment to text my dad and tell him I landed safely, then closed my eyes for a moment to escape the hustle and bustle of he airport. And it was pretty late. A few moments later my relaxation was disturbed by a voice.
"Excuse me, but are you Ally?" The kind voice belonged to a male who sounded cautious but friendly.
I opened my eyes and looked to the side, it was Ray Toro. He was sitting in the seat next to mine and had a crooked grin on his face.
"Yup, that's me." I replied, trying to sound cheerful.
"Thank god, how awkward it would have been if you had been someone else!" He stood up and offered a hand. "The guys are really excited to meet you! You're literally all Gerard's been talking about it, and he keeps making sure things stay clean in the tour bus."
I gladly took his hand and pulled myself up, he was strong and steady. "You guys shouldn't have cleaned, my bedrooms a mess." I lied, my room was always clean.
Ray just shrugged, then ran a hand through his fluffy hair. "He's kinda anal about keeping things clean. Anyways, I hope your plane ride was good?"
"Oh, yeah, it was fine. I finished some homework and then just slept the whole time."
"Oh yeah!" He said, as if remembering something. "Senior year of highschool! How's that treating you?"
"Pretty good, feels nice to be at the top of the food chain."
" 'Top of the food chain.' " He repeated, and began laughing. "Oh my..."
I could feel my face turning red. "Shut up..." I giggled, then playfully bumped him in the side.
"You teenagers and your metaphors and texting."
"And our shananagains and murder." I added.
"Wait...What?" He asked, looking over at me.
I looked back and have a creepy smile, then mimicked an evil laugh. "I'm sorry, I'm just kidding." I chuckled to myself.
He chuckled and shook his head. "The guys are going to love you."
I smiled to myself, maybe I wouldn't have to worry so much after all.
We had finally found an exit and were now looking for the bus in the parking lot. It was really dark out, but at least there were lamps spreaders throughout the lot. After about ten minutes of Ray mumbling stuff about darkness and a lost bus under his breath, we finally saw it in the distance. It did help that there was a silhouette of a man flailing his arms on top of the bus, and screaming out crazy calls.
"God damet, Frank." Ray said, quickening his pace. "Why isn't Gerard watching over you?" He yelled when we finally reached the bus.
"Believe me I tried." A new voice sounded from the corner of the bus. It was Gerard Way, wearing all black and his hair looked like it had been recently ruffled. "Oh, hello. You must be Ally." He said, coming toward me. "Nice to finally see you." He gave me a quick hug then backed up from the bus to look up at Frank. "You're like an overgrown baby."
"I'll show you an overgro-" His sentence suddenly halted when he looked down at me. "Oh, our photographers here! HI ALLY!" He yelled the last part rather loudly.
"HI FRANK!" I yelled back at him, making Gerard and Ray chuckle.
"GERARD THINKS IM AN OVERGROWN BABY SO IM GOING TO STAY UP HERE AND CONTINUE MY TEMPER TANTRUM!" He yelled, then looked over at Gerard, and flicked him off in a classy way that took years to master. Or maybe it was just a Frank thing. I don't know, I just got here and things were already weird.
"That's...Nice." I said, an odd look formed on my face.
"Franks a little weird in the head." Ray said, coming up from behind me.
"No shit Sherlock." Gerard shrieked as he passed us. "Frank seriously get the fuck down now." He sounded impatient.
"No, you're being mad." Frank said, obviously not giving a shit. He turned to to Ray and I. "Whenever my hubby gets mad at me he hits me, so that's why I'm up here.
I started laughing, I couldn't help myself. It was so weird how a moment ago I was having a normal conversation with Ray and now we're standing here, in the middle of the night, trying to cajole Frank off the top of the tour bus. I heard the door open and saw Mikey step out, looking tired and irritated.
"Frank I'm going to start this bus, with you on top of it, and fucking drive at full speed." Mikey said, with his arms crossed.
"Alright, chill blonde." Frank said, climbing down to the ground. "Shall we head inside?"
"We've wanted to do that for an hour now." Gerard snorted.
And that was the first time I met met My Chemical Romance.
