Counting Down The Days To Go (Frerard)

Firetruck Red

FRANK'S P.O.V.

"So, what do you plan on dragging us to?" I asked as me and Gee jumped in Patrick's car.
"I'm just bored, not dragging you to anything."
"Don't you have Pete?" He didn't reply. Instead, he covered his mouth and looked out the window, his eyebrows furrowed. "Patrick, did Pete--"
"We broke up," he said weakly. Before I could reply, he began to cry. I got out of the car and swung his door open, hugging him and whispering encouragements in his ear as he cried into my neck. He eventually pulled away. Then, he laughed. "What?" I asked. Gerard, who was standing behind me, replied for him.
"Your neck is covered in hickeys."
I felt heat swirling in my cheeks as I covered my neck with my hands. Gee only laughed again. "You're so cute," he whispered before giving a me quick peck on the lips. Patrick cleared his throat.
"S-Sorry."
"Just... let's go get something to eat."

"So, what happened?" Gee asked as Patrick sipped on his Starbucks coffee.
"We... we were having a movie marathon last night, and halfway through The Breakfast Club, he just-- just turned to me and said, 'I can't do this anymore, Pat'." He began to tear up again, but wiped the tears away before he actually could cry. "I... you know how in love stories, sometimes after the couple breaks up, one of them goes through a transformation to, like, make the other one jealous?"
"Like in Grease?" I asked. He nodded.
"I bought some bleach and have never done my hair before, so..."
"Sure! You'd look really hot with bleached hair, if you want me to be honest." Suddenly, I felt my heart sink. No, I was not jealous. He's just complimenting his best friend. Patrick winked back and my fists clenched. Calm down, Frank. "You up for it?" Gerard asked, turning to me. I nodded in response.
"So, how long do I have to have this in my hair?"
"At least an hour, depending on how light you want it," Gee replied as he slathered Pat's hair in the white chemicals.
"This shit smells terrible, though!" groaned Patrick. I laughed as he pouted. Gerard finished the coat and smiled as he pulled off his gloves.
"Done!"
"Ugh, this smells soooo bad," Patrick whined as Gee put the bottle of bleach back into the cabinet. He gasped and pulled out a bottle of bright red liquid.
"Patrick. Patrickpatrickpatrick--" he seemed to be really excited. "Patrick, are you ever gonna use this dye?"
Patrick gulped before replying. "No, it was... his."
"Oh my god. Do you mind if I use it?"
"Go right ahead."
"Frankie," Gee turned to me. "Please tell me you've bleached hair."
"Wow." Gerard whispered as he stood in the mirror, admiring his brand new hair color: firetruck red. "Wow."
"You look really good, Gee," Patrick said. Instead of thanking him, Gee simply nodded and smiled. I walked up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist, pressing my face into his back.
"I love it, babe," I sincerely told him. I leaned a bit so I could see his reflection and his smile was even wider than before. "So now that the smell of dye and bleach will permanently linger on my body, what do we do now?"
"To be honest," Patrick butt in, chuckling, "I only came over to ask you guys to bleach my hair."
"Oh, and I thought you were worried," Gerard sarcastically replied and laughed. God, I loved his laugh. It made my heart go aflutter. I tightened my grip on him and nuzzled my face into his back.
"I'll get you two lovebirds home now, so you can fuck again." I laughed this time. I let go of Gerard and followed the two back to Patrick's car. I jumped in the backseat, next to Gee, and gave him a kiss on the cheek. Patrick chuckled as he began to drive away from his house, his newly bleached hair shining in the streetlights' glow. "You two really love eachother, huh?"
"Definitely," Gee replied, reaching his hand over to mine and intertwining our fingers.
"Don't break his heart, okay, Gee?" I couldn't recognize the emotion in his eyes as he gave Gerard a certain look in the rearview mirror. Sympathy, perhaps? But what was he to be sympathetic of? I shook it off and looked out the car window, taking in the beauty of a full moon. We had spent quite a few hours at Patrick's (it took quite a while to remove all the black dye from Gee's hair) and I'm pretty sure once we get home I'll just collapse in his bed. I was still pretty tired from our... session earlier.

Soon enough, the car pulled up to Gerard's cookie cutter house. I thanked Patrick and waved at him as he drove away, back to his house. I carefully went up the stairs in the front of his house, as the outside lights weren't on and I didn't want to trip. I was standing in the dark, waiting for Gerard to open the door, when suddenly I was brought into a hug. "I love you, Frankie. Don't ever forget that."
"I love you too, Gee," I replied. He pulled away and I stared into what my eyes, which had not yet fully adjusted to the darkness, could make out of his face.
"No, Frank. I love you more than you can even imagine. Even if one day I'm gone, remember that, okay?"
"Gerard, what do you--" I was cut off my him kissing me. Roughly. He slipped his tongue in my mouth as he ran his hands through my hair. This is very sudden, I thought to myself. Not that I mind. I snaked my arms around his pale neck and he gripped my waist. I'm surprised my legs hadn't turned to jelly at this point.
Suddenly, the front door swung open. I heard a slightly familiar female voice screech, "What are you guys doing?!"
