Epilogue - Now I struggle to recall the reasons you would come to leave

7th September 2014
~Billie’s POV~
The last couple of weeks have been hard for all of us; what with Sarah… passing while giving birth to little Ashli…
Helen offered to be my maid of honour for the wedding and – luckily – she fitted into Sarah’s dress so we didn’t have to spend any more money on the wedding when we needed to buy a lot for Sarah’s funeral. I honestly couldn’t believe it when Mikey told us; we took him in last month as he sold the house, “it holds too many memories,” he told us through tears on the day of Sarah’s funeral. Luckily for him though, he found an apartment and he’s due to move in in a couple days.
~Helen’s POV~
I zipped up Billie’s dress and pinned the last piece of her hair back. She then sat down while I did her make-up: heavy eyeliner, no sparkle. I did the same on myself and put a small amount of lip gloss on Cherry, Lilly and Bandit’s mouths as they were begging us to let them wear make-up.
A knock on the door of our small ‘getting ready’ room startled us all. “Are you girls ready? Frank’s at the end of the isle waiting,” Gerard said calmly through the door.
“We’re ready now,” I replied, opening the door and stepping out, the bride and the kids following close behind.
~Billie’s POV~
I waited in the hall, watching Mikey – with Ashli in his arms – and Gerard walking down the aisle together in outfits that matched Frankie’s: black suit, white shirt and blood red tie.
Followed soon after was little Bandit, throwing petals down the aisle while everyone cooed at her. She sent people a cute toothy grin which made them coo more at her.
Then it was my turn… I slowly started walking down the aisle, Cherry and Lily walking slowly behind me, all three of us clutching small bouquets of flowers: red roses and white carnations, with black ribbon attached to the stems.
*******
“If anyone has any reason why this man and woman may not be married, please speak now or forever hold your peace,” the priest said, shutting the book in his hand.
Suddenly the doors flew open once more and a booming voice echoed through the church, “I object!” Ray Toro shouted and gasps filled the awkwardly silent space…

Notes

This is the end :(

The sequel - I wanna live a different life - will be up soon, once my mock exams are over.

Love you Killjoys :)
