"Will you marry me?", I slowly asked as I flashed her a white gold ring that was in a Tiffany blue box.

Blair instantly covered her opened mouth with her petite-boney fingers and she kept on repeating 'Oh My God'. The moment when I showed her the ring, her eyes kept on shifting from my face to the box. She was trying to figure out if I was kidding or serious. I was nervous waiting for her answer. I know things are going too fast but I didn't care because I didn't want to wait for another year for her to finish her studies. I can't wait that long. I want to be with her, now.
I kept biting my lower lip, still waiting for her answer. I was about to say forget it when she tackled me to the ground and said yes.

"YES, YES, YES! A million time yes!", she said and planted a kiss on my lips.

I stood back again and asked her to stand up. Blair stood up, still smiling and slightly shaken with the whole situation. I kneeled down.

I took out the ring out of the box and slipped it through her finger. Blair pulled me up and kissed me one more time. I was relieved.

I am engaged now.

"Let's tell the whole world", she said as she showed me her finger. I put my arm around her and lead her to the house. Blair looked really happy and she kept on eyeing her finger.

It was already 1 AM when we got into the house. We heard loud noise coming from the TV room and found everyone was there watching Paranormal Activity. Blair's parents had their arms wrapped around eachother while her cousins covered their faces with a huge blanket. Blair knocked the door three times and her mother got up and paused the movie.

Blair slowly inhaled and showed her finger, she was still grinning like when I proposed her. As for me, I just waited for her parents' reaction. Her father instantly jumped off the couch and stood beside her mother, who had her hand on her mouth. I wasn't sure if it was good or bad but as for her cousins, all of them shrieked.

"You guys got engaged?!", her mother finally asked.

"Yes, mummy. Frank just proposed", she replied.

Her mother dropped the TV remote that she was holding and slowly walked to hug Blair. Her eyes started to well up and so was her father's. He pat my back and smiled.

"Take care of her"

"Yes, sir. I will", I replied.

Her mother was crying and so was Blair. Her female cousins came to her and joined hugging her while the guys gave me high fives.

"Dudeeee, welcome to the family!", John said while tossing me a can of beer.

Her mother finally let go and kissed her cheek. She turned to me and hugged me.

"She's our only jewel, please take a good care of her. That's the only thing we want from you", her mother said.
