That night, we decided to stay at the hospital to accompany Rebecca. My parents were reading and they eventually fell asleep. Frank went back half an hour after midnight to finish packing for his tour but he promised he would come back tomorrow morning to see me before he leaves. Rebecca was up every now and then asking for water. Thirsty was another bad sign.

The next morning, I arrived home at 6.30 AM because my parents wanted me to have enough rest before they are bringing Rebecca home.

Only Beatrice and our cook were home. Beatrice was cleaning the living room when she saw me.

"Back so early, Miss Blair?", she asked while dusting the vase.

I nodded, "Was up all night taking care of Rebecca. Mummy and daddy will be home soon, with Rebecca."

"How is Miss Rebecca doing?"

"Not good, Beatrice. She's a ticking clock right now", I replied.

Beatrice stopped dusting and looked at me, her smile seemed to be wiped away because of my words. I could see her tears were welling up but she looked away.

"I will fix you breakfast", Beatrice said.

I just nodded and left the living room and made my way to my room. As soon as I opened the door, I saw Frank getting comfortable on my bed. I guess he must have dozed of waiting for me.

He woke up and soon as he heard me coming in.

"How long have you been waiting for me?", I asked.

"I packed for two hours and took a nap for an hour. I think an hour", Frank replied while rubbing his eyes. Boy, he was cute.

"Can I squeeze in?", I asked.

Frank extended his hand and pulled me to lay beside him.

"Must you be gone for a month?", I asked.

Frank planted a soft kiss and said, "I will miss you, baby doll"

I took a long breath and exhaled. I wasn't ready for him to leave me just yet. I wanted him to be here with me right now.

"If something happens to Rebecca, I need you to tell me straight away and I will book the next flight in", Frank said.

I knew he did not want me to be alone if anything happens. I just shook my head.

"When do you have to leave?", I asked.

"Not for another 5 hours. I just want to be with you like this for awhile.", Frank replied.

"Sounds like a good plan"

We spent the first two hours just talking about the things that make me happy. I was opening up to him, finally. I told him how I felt when I found out about Rebecca. I told him how I felt when mummy forgot my 13th birthday. I told him the little details about me, things that no one knew.

I did most of the talking and he just kept quiet and listened. I guess he was right about being a good listener.

I fell asleep after talking so much and I know he did too because when I woke up, he was sleeping soundly next to me. His arm was around me. I just looked at his face. I noticed that he took of his lip piercing.

"How long have you been staring?", Frank suddenly said without opening his eyes.

I could feel a rush of blood runing through my cheeks, I didn't know that he was up. I pulled away before he pulled me closer to him. Frank's face was close to mine and my hands were feeling clammy again. I was nervous.

"Is this the part where we are supposed to kiss?", I panically asked.

Frank smirked and brushed his lips against mine. Frank pulled away to see if I was okay and of course I was. He gave me another smirked before pulling me into a real kiss. It was needy. It was like he has been waiting for this moment to come.

Things were getting heavy before we heard few knocks on my door.

"Miss Blair, your parents are home", Beatrice said.
