So Long and Goodnight, Frank

I was trying to hurry and get the window open but Steven, sure enough, knew something was up. He walked in my room. I had no choice but to bust the glass open and crawl out. He came out of the window running after me. Since I had so much stuff with me it was hard to run and he was catching up.
I wasn't sure where to turn. The streets were all dead. All the stores were closed. I had pretty much accepted my fate at this point. I was too afraid to turn around, even though I heard a car behind me. I knew for sure if I didn't keep running he'd catch me.
"Gee, get in!"
It was Frank! I hurried and got in the car. Steven had no choice but to stop. I told Frank everything that had happened while we were on the way back to his house to drop off my stuff. " I don't mean to sound weird or anything, but I followed you home earlier. I knew something was going to happen, I could just tell. I'm really glad I did though. Do you wanna go to the police station or what?"
" No. I'm sure my mom is already dead by now and he won't even be there. I'm sure he'll go into hiding and it will all look like my fault. I'll just disappear. That's all I can do. I need to go to my dad's first though and he'll help me out"
" I'm coming too, Gerard."
"Are you sure?"
" Positive."
