Chapter 10

An hour later we were sprawled over the living room, hyped up on junk food, well sugary drinks in my case. We were in the midst of a game of truth or dare and to be honest we looked and sounded drunk.
“Mikey!” Vic shouted
“Yes!” I yelled back despite being in the same room.
“Truth or Dare McHobble” We laughed at the nickname I was given earlier.
“Dare.” A collection of ‘oooo’s’ was sounded. Vic left the room. He came back with soy sauce, cola, lemonade, hot sauce, mouthwash, citrus juice, vinegar and a glass. He mixed them all together and handed me the glass. “I dare you to drink all of this.” The liquid was a murky brown. I took a sip and gagged in disgust. I then took a deep breath and chugged the entire glass in one sitting. I put it on the table and held my hand for a pause. Taking a deep breath I opened my mouth to show I had finished the glass and the guys cheered. My stomach felt like it was being pounded. We went round a couple more rounds with us all embarrassing ourselves. When Oli asked me I said Truth.
“Mikey, how do you feel about Ray?”
“I want to say worried.” We all started laughing at the reference until I went serious. “I don’t know. I think I might like him. When I’m with him I have butterflies. When he’s happy I’m happy and when he’s sad I want to cry and hug him. When we touch it feels like electricity. When we’re together it feels like we’re the only two people in the room.”
“I think like might be an understatement.” Kellin stated with a smirk on his face.
“I agree, it sounds like you’re in love with him.” Vic said.
“But I don’t know him.”
“Doesn’t matter.” Oli smirked. I zoned out for the next few rounds lost in my thoughts of Ray, the accident and everything I could remember.
“MIKEY.” I looked up to Kellin, confused. “Truth or dare.”
“It’s my turn again.” They nodded amused “Dare.”
“Prank call your brother.” I took another mouthful of soda and called my brother putting it on speaker.
Ring ring. Ring ring
“Hello, Mikey.”
“Hey Gee Bee. What are you up to?”
“Just watching a movie with Frank and Linda. Do you want picking up?”
“Not yet. Hey Gee, how do you get rid of a bat?”
“A what?”
“A bat flew in through the window and is circling the room and we don’t know what to do. I thought you would know being the smart big brother.”
“I don’t know. Try throwing a sheet over it and then letting it go out the window.” I could see the guys stifling their laughter.
“Thanks Gee. Could you pick me up in about an hour?”
“Sure kiddo.”
“Love you.”
“Love you too.” He hung up and we all started laughing.

An hour later we were laughing at a story Vic was telling when there was a knock on the door. Oli left and called back for me. I knew my brother was here and groaned before making my way out, saying goodbye to the couple on the couch. On my way out the door I gave Oli a quick hug and went to get in the car. Gerard joined me soon after.
“Did you have fun?” He asked pulling out into the road.
“Yeah, it was good.”
“What did you do?”
“Drank fizzy drinks, did truth or dare, had to drink the nastiest thing in the universe, spoke about my feelings towards Ray, prank called you and told funny stories.”
“So there was no bat.”
“Yeah, sorry about that.”
“It’s fine. How are you feeling?”
“A little sore. I just want to get some sleep.”
“Ok, we’ll be back at Frank’s soon, you can go to bed then.” I didn’t make it back to Franks, falling asleep half way there.

I'm sorry for being really late updating. I've had a lot of stuff going on, I was kicked out of my old sixth form and had to settle into a new one meaning that I've had to deal with losing a lot of my friends. Some other boring stuff has happened as well but after everything it has just been forgotten about. Sorry
