That hair.
Those eyes.
The pixie like nose.
That was him! The kid he saw five to six years ago, Frank tipped his chin a fashion to show that he saw him, staring deep into his eyes currently unable to wave due to the guitar in his hands. He smiled widely at the boy motioning to the end of the road, hoping the kid would know what he meant. All too soon their float passed by, and the parade was soon over.
Frank hoped down and started walking down the street he saw the raven haired boy at, but seeing nothing but a lump on the ground. Frank walked over thinking it was a lost little kid and he wanted to help. He rubbed their back softly “hey” he said softly hoping not to scare them.
The person looked up at him, and it was the boy, he gasped softly at the brokenness behind his bloodshot eyes, his flushed tear stained cheeks. He leaned forward and scooped him up and cradled him into his chest, rocking him softly. Feeling the boy cling to his sweatshirt tightly. “Shh” he whispered into a mop of black hair. “It’s okay” he said softly, kissing his head “So long to all my friends; every one of them met tragic ends…” he sang quietly into his ear hoping to calm him down a bit. He let his fingers work their way down to his sides, stroking the smooth skin softly as he kept singing.
Frank pulled away once he was finished only to be met with the boys gorgeous face, he sat there staring into beautiful hazel eyes “why are you crying beautiful?” he asked softly, brushing the black strands of hair out of his pale face. He waited patiently, until those soft lips spoke their first words to him. He softened his gaze and cradled him closer.
