Demolition Lovers

~Skylar's POV~

My breath hitched and the blood drained from my face. Did she hate me that much that she would cut me? I booked it towards the stairs, in hope of reaching my room. But she was too fast.

She grabbed my shoulder just as I reached the entrance to my room. I let out a scream as she shoved me to the floor. She started hitting and kicking me as I curled into a ball trying to protect my face. The pain that came next was indescribable. The blade went farther into my skin each time she cut. She started at my arms and worked her way down to my ankles where the gashes were the deepest. My body started to go numb before she got up, looking satisfied, and got into her car and drove off.

About 5 minutes later I hear someone banging on the door to my room, which my step mom had locked after she left. My vision started to blur as someone kicked down the door and ran towards me. I hear muffled voices as my vision fades to total blackness.
