Of course he would be Mikey's brother. It all makes sense now.
Suddenly, my mind streamed with thoughts racing over, realization after realization.
"Call me Gerard"
"Gerard probably has work to do"
"Yeah you better not tell the guys"
It all made sense now. I felt my face get hot, and when I realized I was on my way to his fucking house, I held my breath.
"Um Natalie..?" Mikey softly spoke to me.
"What? Oh right Wow I didn't know or expect that.. like.. at all.." I tried covering my shock up with a laugh
"I hope that's not an issue..? I mean I call call up the guys right now and-"
"No!" I cut him off "I mean, it's fine! as long as he doesn't care that I come over too.. since he doesn't really know me all that well.."
"Well this is the perfect time for you to get to know him! So you can come over a lot more.." Mikey said, looking at me with a hopeful look on his face.
"Oh yea.. haha. So um. How do I get there?"
I asked.

About 5 minutes later, I found myself pulling into the driveway to a cute little two floor home. "Do you have a basement?" I thought out loud, not really speaking to Mikey, but at the same time I was.
"Yeah I- uh we do.. My brother and I use it kinda for like practice."
Practice?
"Practice for what?" I let my curiosity get the best of me, and made a mental note to stop asking so many questions.
"Oh well uh we kinda have a band kinda.. it's more like therapy."
"Really? Who does what?" I kicked myself for asking another dumb question.
"Gerard sings, Frank and Ray are on Guitar, Bob is on drums, and I uh play bass.."
"I've always wanted to play bass!" I said loudly "I play guitar.. but I've always wanted to learn!"
Mikey seemed a little on edge when I told him I play guitar.. probably thinking that Frank will find out and swoop me off my feet. But when I said the last part about wanting to learn bass, his face lit up.
"I can teach you!" He said like a little kindergartner eager to be called on.
"Really? Promise you won't get frustrated?" I asked slowly. I've always been one to be lost when friends try and teach me something.
"I won't." He laughed.
And with that we got out of the car.

Right when we walked into the door, I heard a car pull up. A minute later, I heard car doors slamming, and then pounding at the door.
"Nat I'm gonna get drinks for us.. would you mind opening the door?" Mikey asked
"No not at all!"
I walked over to the door, and pulled it open. Standing in front of me was Ray, Bob, and Frankie.
"Hey guys!" I excitedly greeted my new friends and they all walked in one by one.
Frank walked in last, and pretended like he hadn't seen me in forever.
"Natalie! How are you? It's been ages!"
Before I noticed, Frank pulled me close to him and embraced me with a hug. It lasted for about 20 seconds until Mikey walked into the coat room where we all were. Frank smelled faintly cigarettes and like cologne, and it made me want to stay like that forever. He smelled so nice, and his hug was nice too. The way his body molded with mine the way our arms were around each other made me want to never let go. Maybe I should just get over Gerard.

"Ehem" Mikey cleared his throat and glared at Frank when he thought I wasn't looking. Frank smirked at him and let go of me, and Ray let out a little giggle. I elbowed him when nobody was looking and he looked at me and tried hard not to laugh again. "Shut up" I whispered, and took my shoes off and followed the other guys down the hall and into the kitchen.

After hanging out in the kitchen for about an hour, I heard a door open and slam.

I felt my heart drop into my stomach and I felt it turn into a pit of anxiety when I heard Gerard's voice from the coat room.

"Mikey?" He spoke, followed by his footsteps leading to the kitchen.
