I don't love you
Chapter 3
*6 years later*
I sat in a booth at the smokey bar.
"Okay, so they're going on in five. Mikey has been doing his hair for the past half hour. Everything is going to be okay. They're going to be okay," I said to absolutely no one. I rubbed the back of my neck in a feeble attempt to calm my nerves. The noise in the room was deafening and my heart felt as if it were going to explode. Suddenly the noise level increased 100% as the bar was filled with screams.
"Hey there, we are My Chemical Romance. Are you motherfuckers ready to have a fan-fucking-tastic time?" Again, the room burst open with shouts. Gerard chuckled into the microphone, "good 'cause this song is 'bout Mikey and my grandmother and she fucking loved to rock. Here you go, this is Helena!" He found me in the crowd and winked, causing me to forget whatever nerves I previously felt.
When the band got done with their half hour set they came running to the booth. Frank and Gerard scooted beside me as Mikey, Ray and Bob took the other side.
"So how were we?" Frank nudged my side.
"You guys were amazing! I'm so proud of-" I was interrupted by a tall, lean man that leaned against our table.
"Hi, My name is Liam Heartney, I work with Warner Music Group. I wanted to give you my card," he gave Gerard the card before continuing, "we'd be happy to sign you guys. You have true talent."
The guys waited until he left the building before turning to me, "Two days. And we call."
We left the bar very drunk and very pleased. Ray began to air guitar and Gerard joined, singing into an invisible mic. By the time we got back to the apartment I shared with Frank, all the boys were playing their pretend instruments and I was dancing behind them.
"Dude! Dude, lets play truth or dare!" Frank shouted.
"How fucking old are you?" Bob questioned. We all laughed, but still sat down in a circle. We decided to go clockwise with Frank, Ray, Gerard, me, Mikey, and Bob.
"I'm going first cause I came up with this idea!" Frank giggled, "Bob, you cheese head, truth or dare?"
"Dare me muthafucka!" Bob fist pumped the air.
Frank thought for a couple of minutes before he came up with a good dare, "Go lick the toilet seat."
I don't think the dare surprised anyone. Frank was known for disgusting dares. Truth or dare was our pastime in high school and Frank always made me the most nervous.
"You know what, dude, you are seriously disgusting," Bob grimaced, yet still stood up and headed towards the bathroom. He returned a minutes later with a disgusted look on his face, "I fucking hate you and if I get sick, you're dead."
Ray turned towards me, "okay, Briar, what's it gonna be?"
I smirked and went with my usual, "Dare of course!"
"Flash the neighbors," Ray pointed to the window, but didn't account the fact that it was late at night and the neighbors were asleep. I jumped up at the easy dare, skipped to the window, and pulled my shirt up. The boys applauded as I walked back to my place.
Gerard's turn was next, "Mikes?"
"Truth. And don't be an asshole."
"Is it true that you've been secretly dating that girl from 2B?"
Mikey blushed, "Yes." Mikey earned a bunch of whistles and shoulder claps.
The rest of the game went on without much excitement until it finally got back to Frank.
"Gee."
"Truth. Your dares scare me."
"Okay, is it true that you like Briar?"
Gerard turned to me with an unreadable expression, "I've loved her since the first day I met her."
Notes
This is such a shit chapter, but my dad is yelling at me to do something (probably clean my room oops I'm a slob) so I don't have much writing time. I swear I will edit tomorrow, until then... Sorry :D (Does the smiley lessen the grammatical errors?)
