Merci Pour Le Venin
Mikey
Mikey was just as quiet as he'd ever been, but perhaps a tiny bit quieter. Every question anyone asked was met by a one word answer, no more, no less. It was like he'd just stopped. He'd known the breakup was coming for quite some time, ever since their last show: Asbury Park, New Jersey. It ended where it all began. Before then, he didn't think it would ever end. They'd been through a lot together, almost breaking up multiple times, but every wound always healed and made them stronger than ever. The band he believed to be eternal was no more than a single, stupid era of his life. When he'd found out that there wouldn't be a "My Chemical Romance" anymore, he tried to change everything he could. Start a new life, as a new person, to hide away the tiny nagging voice that kept repeating "something's missing, something important". Mikey was trying to forget the thing that meant so much to him and his friends, but he just couldn't. It took him until a couple of days after the official announcement until he was able to say anything to the fans, and all he could leave was a somewhat generic message thanking everyone for a good twelve years. Anything else was too painful to handle. It felt like he'd fallen, but no one was there to pick him up, so he just sat there in the mud wishing for something a little bit better to happen. There'd never be anything like My Chemical Romance again, he knew it. The best thing to do would just be to forget it all and focus on the future. People would eventually move on with their lives anyway, no matter how much that silly little band he'd loved had changed them. Well, that's what he originally thought. Up came the memories of all the people who's lives the band had saved. The band had even saved his own life, and now he was walking on a tightrope without his favorite safety net. He wanted to forget it... but he couldn't.
