Frerard is Real
Farewell, Peasants!
~
Patrick talked to couples about internal conflicts, emotions. An hour passed, then two, then three. It was about ten at night, and Patrick was just beginning with his speech. He handed out pieces of papers and pens so the couples could take notes. Most were exhausted like Alan. He tried so hard to keep his eyes lids open, but finally, he tossed his head back and slept on the firm and very uncomfortable chair.
Patrick raised a brow, “It seems we lost one.”
Vic yawned, “I wouldn’t blame him, we’ve been sitting on our asses for at least three hours.”
Patrick seemed surprised by the time. He glanced at his watch, “Oh my.” He smiled, his eyes shining bright, “Well, it seems we’ve passed our limit. Okay, well, I’ll see all of you next wednesday.”
Fuenciado left, practically dragging their shoes acorss the floor and out the door. Jack abruptly groaned, “I CAN’T FEEL MY LEGS.” He grasped onto Alex’s shoulder and joked, “Are they there?”
Alex smiled, “Did you feel that?”
“Feel what?”
Alex laughed as he retreated his hand from Jack’s thigh. He stood up and stretched, “Come on, love. I shall do the honor of driving you home.” Alex laughed at his horrible british accent. Jack opened his arms, “Carry me, for my legs are dead.” Alex, with all the strength of his body, lifted Jack and hurried out the exit door. Jack called after Cashby and Patrick, “Farewell, peasants!” Jack waved his hand as Alex kicked the doors open to the parking lot and walked out.
Patrick chuckled as he packed his things. Alan snored loudly, which echoed in the big room. Patrick smiled as he rolled up a piece of paper, walking to Alan. He smacked Alan’s shoulder, “Time to go home to a real bed.” Alan flinched, but remained on the chair. Austin sighed as he placed a hand on his thigh, “Well, I guess I’ll carry the princess to the car.” He then-without any trouble-lifted Alan from the chair. Before walking out, he asked Patrick, "This is only the beginning?"
Patrick wasn't sure what he meant-but then he understood. Patrick nodded, "This is only the beginning."
