For Colored Girls

“So what? You’re just going to kill me? How would Mikey feel about that?” He gazed up at me through a mess of red hair that had swept in front of his face.
“Quite frankly, I don’t give a shit motherfucker. Mikey don’t have a say, he’s under a contract.”
“A contract? And what does the contract entail?” He glared.
“Sell my product or I’ll blow your brains to the fucking roof.”
“Blow? You’ll suck his dick till he’s dead? Can I get one of these deals too?” He mocked.
My fist collided with his nose and my knee with his stomach; he spat out blood on the floor.
“I don’t believe you’d really kill Mikey. I think you care now. You wouldn’t have taken him in if you didn’t. And I know you couldn’t live with him hating you. So drop the gun and let’s talk about this reasonabl-“
My gun fired at his foot. He screamed, and pulled it away. I missed on purpose. White folks is a little bit slow, they don’t know when they’re actually in danger.
“GOD. FUCKING STO-“ He started but I punched him in the jaw this time, armed with my brass knuckles.
“AAAAAAH!” He screamed, his hands shot up to his face.
“You fucking bitch!”
I kicked him in the balls this time. He gasped like he’d had the breath knocked out of him and curled up in pain.
I sat there laughing my ass off.
“Why you so damn slow? You don’t know when to shut the fuck up.”
“Let my brother go.” He said through clenched teeth.
“I just can’t do that son. He’s got a debt to me.” I tapped his forehead with the tip of my gun mockingly.
“I’ll do it. I’ll pay his debt, I’ll work for you. Just let my brother go.” The words fell out of his mouth as if he hadn’t actually wanted to say them.
I pulled my gun back, giving him a curious glance.
“That might work.”
“But you’ll have to survive your probation period.” I added.
“And what does that mean?” He sighed.
I started pacing the room, making up all the shit as I went along the way. Of course we didn’t have no god damn ‘probation period’ we a gang. But white people is so damn stupid they’ll believe anything.
“You got three days to double what your brother made for me when he started out. I give you an ounce. You go sell it. If you fuck up, you’re dead. Plain and simple.” I gave him a daring glare.
“You game?” I said.
He stared at the ground in frustration. After much contemplating he looked up with a confident gleam to his eyes.
“I’m game.”
