I'm Okay Now

"She's 17" I said in a soft whisper that almost faded away into the crisp autumn breeze.
"How old?" Bob asked who was too far away to hear what I said.
"I said, she's 17" I spoke once again but this time a little bit louder, hating the was that word felt on my lips.
"Damn dude!" Bob shrieked.
"I thought you only go for the older chicks!"
"Yea, but that was before I met her" I replied, starting to feel a little bit uncomfortable admitting that I'm a pedifile. I took a quick glance around the bar and heard the mumbles and screams of people talking from every angle, and the loud music that plays in the background that no body listings too unless they happen to be hear alone and the music is the only company they have.
"So do you keep your relationship a secret?"
"Well we kinda have to"
"But she's only 17, she can't look that young that others won't believe that she's a year older than her-"
"That's not the problem" I said in a hushed voice that cut frank off mid sentence.
"Well what then!?"
"Well she's best friends with my brother..."
"I'm still am not seeing a problem here"
"And they met in school" I spoke, doing my best to sugar coat it.
"I'm still not seeing a problem here-" I scraped my teach together as I waited for them to figure it out, and did my best to avoid eye contact.
"But Mikey goes to the same school that you teach at...."
"Exactly" I replied just before all of their eyes went wide.
"Gerard you did not!" Ray screamed as he remained in shock.
"Dude keep down your voice. I'm committing two illegal crimes right now and the last thing is to be put in jail."
"Is she really that worth it? I'm going to assume so because I've never seen you smile this much when you talk about a girl." Bob asked, amused.
"Trust me. She most certainly is"

After a while, I got them to drop the topic of Katy. The last thing I want is for someone to over hear our conversation and report me to the cops. I'm not actually afraid of the thought of spending a couple of years in jail, what I really fear is loosing kate. I wouldn't want to continue living if they took her away from me. I need her more than I need air. Everything about her is addicting. Whenever I picture her in my mind, I instantly start smiling like a fool. Oh yes I am a fool. A fool who fell in love with one of his students. A fool that made the best mistake of his life.
As soon as I pulled into the pavement driveway of my house I instantly knew something was wrong, But I couldn't put my finger on it. I slowly rose out of the car and started making my way to the front door. Since we live in a really good neighborhood of New Jersey with really good neighbors, we never lock the door unless we're sleeping, so I barged right in. That's when I realized what was wrong. I stood at the doorway in shock as Alicia returned the same expression. I couldn't even move I was so confused, scared even. It was hard for me to speak but I somehow managed to do so.
"What happened!?"

Sorry for all the shitty cliff hangers. (Reasons why I suck at writing)
so I hope everyone is doing great! As you can tell I have been doing my best with the whole "upload one short chapter a day" thing. I'm actually really proud of myself because I'm really lazy, so this is a huge accomplishment for me. But the reason why I want to update everyday is so my story can (hopefully) be on the top five on the popular page! that's actually my goal, and I've been close, but never actually made it.
