I'm Okay Now

There was so much tension in the room it was as if two walls where caving in on me, and Alicia thinks I'm Mikey's sister and that I'm dating my brother. This was going to be hard to explain, if even possible.
"Shit! I- I can explain this!" I could tell Mikey was really nervous and there was no way he would be able to explain to her what's actually happening without having a breakdown or stuttering the whole time. And if she finds out the truth she might go around and tell everyone. Then sooner or later the board of education will find out and fire Gerard . I can't let that happen, then he'll make no money and it will all be because of me. Shit, even worse, the word could get around to the police and then he would be arrested for pedifilia! Again, it will be all my fault that gee would end up behind metal bars. Also A girl like her would get so discussed that she would walk out without giving him time to explain so I decided I would bud in and fix everything, even if it doesn't work out right, lying to save the people you love isn't the worst thing right?
"Alecia" I began "my brother, mr way, was picking me up from my date because his ended at the same time as mine. He is my brother and I- I could never d-do that." Well that didn't go as smoothly as planned, but it seemed like it convinced her so that was good enough for me! I was shocked at my own accomplishments that I was able to make up a story right on the spot, I've never been good at that.
"Oh oh my gosh I'm so sorry! I di-" she started to apologize but I cut her off.
"It's fine! After all it could seen like we where- you know a thing... With the timing but.. We're not because that would be horrible and wrong. Way wrong." I always sucked at lying but she didn't seem to notice my stuttering or loss for words. Thank god. I always seem to stutter when I'm lying, it's a bad habit that I have and need to demolish. "Ok, thank you! Now that we have all this cleared up,.. You guys have a little" I gestured with my hands trying to find the right words "explaining to do"
"Oh ya" Mikey began "Gerard, Kate, this is my girlfriend, Alicia."
"Wow girlfriend!?" Gerard asked sounding surprised
"Yea..." There was a long akward silenced that passed as we all just looked around the room avoiding eye contact as a smell of a scented candle was emitted into the air.
"Well I'm getting kinda tired" I spoke, breaking the long awkward silence that we encountered. And with that, gee lead me up the stairs with keeping some space between us so Alecia dident suspect anything. It felt wierd not having him so close to me like he usually is. I can normally almost taste the light smell of cigarettes that came from his mouth but now it was as if we actully were siblings.

When I woke up the next morning I was wrapped around gees arms.
"Good morning hon" he said as soon as he noticed I was awake.
"Good morning" I replied in a sleepy voice and slowly moved myself out of his arms so I could sit up. "What time is it"
"Like 9"
"Wow that early"
"For you" he joked, but he was right. I'm not a morning person and I never was.
"What's for breakfast" I asked still being very tired as I rolled over, trying to stretch my body while trying not to fall off the bed.
"Let's go find out" he responded as he took my hand and led me out the bed and down the stairs.
I wasent surprised to find Mikey and Alicia sleeping on the couch togather. It was cute how Ali's head was on Mikey's shoulder and how he had her arms wrapped around her. It was untill gee flicked Mikey's forehead causing them both to awaken.
"Gerard what was that for!" Mikey screamed in a sleepy voice, clearly pissed off.
"Dude it's 9 o'clock, time to wake up"
"Well you could have just said that!"
"But I'm your older brother and in suppost to be mean" Alicia slowly dis attached herself from mikes shoulder and got up on her feet. Even though Ali was nice, I still wasn't to sure about her. You see she's a popular and the popular group has a bad reputation of causing a lot of drama and worse, breaking boys hearts. But something about Alecia seemed different. All the populars are clearly fake but Ali seemed normal compared fo the rest, she acts like the kind that actually cares and wants to help but it's still hard to decide if she's acting because she's around Mikey or if she's just being herself. She's like a locked diary compared to the free books at the library but from what I can tell just baced on act, she was nice.
"What's for breakfast?" I asked Mikey as he fixed his bed head and walked towards the kitchen.
"What ever you guys want" he replied
All four of us headed over to the kitchen and I set the table as Mikey started to heat up the stove.
"Does French toast sound good?" He questioned all of us.
"Sounds great" ali replied as she stole a quick kiss from his lips.
"Oh and Katy?" She started
"Yep?"
"Well I was wondering... Me and my group of friends are going to the mall later on. You wanna join?" I really dident want to hang out around the popular group since I was far from that class, but I really needed to bond with ali so I could get to know her more. After all she is dating my best friend.
"I'd love to"
"Great! So be ready by 11"
"Will do!"
