Be careful making wishes in the dark

Billie-Joe's POV

She's been gone for 3 hours now! What if she has been kidnapped? Oh fuck, I wish she would just come back home where it's safe. I paced around the living room with the house phone in my hands, gripping it tightly. Zacky sat on the couch with his head in his hands. "Right, I'm calling the police." I said pressing each number slowly. "I just hope shes safe." said Zacky sitting up. The phone rang until a voice answered me. "Hello, Belleville police department, how can we help you?" said the voice, it was a woman. "Yeah, my daughter hasn't come back home, she went for a walk to the park and she hasn't been back for 3 hours." I said, nearly choking on my tears. "Well, we can't report her missing until she has been gone for atleast 24 hours." said the woman, she didn't have any emotion in her voice at all. "Listen here, we are worried about her, and we have to wait another 21 hours until you bastards get off of your fat lazy asses and do something?!" said Zacky after snatching the phone from my hand. It seemed he was arguing with the police woman, I took the phone back and apologised. I hung up and sat back down. Zacky sat next to me and threw his arms around me, trying to get me to stop crying.
