I had stopped by dawn. I sat in the highest tree I could find and waited for dark. The day time zombies are dangerous to vampires, unlike the night time zombies.

I started to hum and soon my humming turned to singing. "The dawn is dark, the night is grey, just lie down let youre troubles lay. High above the soft low ground in this tree your safe and sound."

"Ashley!" I heard calling from below and behind me.

I made myself as small and invisible in the tree as I could get.

"Ashley I know your around here some where!"

I didnt reply, for all I knew it was my mind again.

The voice kept calling out to me. "Ashley!"

I just couldnt take it any more. "Shut up! You're not real! You cant be real!" I held my head in my hands. "Go away leave me alone."

Someone below me looked up and climbed swiftly up the tree. "You sure about that?"

"Victoria?"

"No the ghost of christmas past! But seriously, you gotta come back with me. We need you there."

"I wont go back. You dont understand."

"What dont I understand?"

"I'm a monster. You cant hurt Gram because you aint a vampire, just a human; a cannibal but still technically human, ame with Gee. Mikey loves him way to much to harm him, but me? I am a monster. I could kill the boy with just the slightest temper of my mood. I killed that girl, the girl no older than Gram. I am nothing more than a cold blooded killer."

"Ash. She was a human and you were thirsty. You cant blame yourself."

I started to sob. Something I didnt relise actually hurt to do.
