Miss Me, Miss Me, Now You Wanna Kiss Me

{Ghoul's POV}

After having Jet Star go down and watch Missile Kid I headed to the roof of the diner. What could she possibly have to say to me? I climbed the roof and found Venom smoking a cigarette and without thinking I walked over to her and pulled it from her lips. I threw it down and put it out with my boot.

"Quit that shit, it'll kill you." I said and she sighed and patted next to her. I sat down and she looked at me. "Please tell me why you left." I whispered and she nodded.

"I left to keep Korse from attacking all of us. But he caught up to me eventually." She started and I shook my head.

"Start from the beginning, please." I said quietly and she looked away from me.

"When I left, Pony helped me get around and Korse followed the trail I was leading until he surprised me by getting to Bunker 45 before me. He took me to Battery City and I was an experiment." She stopped and I slipped my hand into hers by instinct. "When they did a certain experiment they started to cut open my stomach but they stopped and alerted Korse." She broke off and took my hand that was holding hers and held it to a jagged feeling scar down her midsection. "He made sure to keep me awake during all of it."

"What did he do?" I asked, my voice shaky.

"He just wanted to watch me bleed. But then he noticed something, an opportunity. I guess it never occurred to me when I left and even after that, that something was off about how I was feeling. If I had known I wouldn't have ran." Tears started to flow from her cheeks. My mind started to connect the dots but she beat me to the punch. "I was pregnant and I put the baby in so much danger. And then Korse just." She cut off, sobs running through her body. My arms latched around her, wanting to protect her from all the hurt and pain.

I felt my own tears sting at my eyes and my grip tightened around her.

"I won't ever let him hurt you again." I said into her hair. As my own tears flowed down my cheeks I felt hers soak into my shoulder.

{Venom's POV}

After I told him I felt a huge wave of relief rush over me. He could finally know, but was it really for the best? What if he hated for me it?

"I won't ever let him hurt you again." He said into my hair and I felt the tears flow heavier. Even after everything he was still there.

"I'm so sorry Frank." I said finally and he pulled back making me stare up at his tear soaked face.

"You were trying to protect me and the guys. I understand now. Before I thought I wasn't enough, that you didn't want me." He said, almost ashamed and I brushed my thumb across his cheek.

"I will always want you Ghoul." I whispered and his lips met mine carefully, like he was afraid I would push him away.

"And I will always want you." He mumbled against my lips.
