After Frank and I started putting our clothes back on, we stayed quiet.
“So I guess this is it." Frank said sadly.
“No.” I pulled down my shirt and paused looking at him.
“What are we going to do? I can stand being away from you. I know it's been a while Gerard but...I seriously fucking miss you. I love you.” He hugged me and I opened the car door.
“Come home with me.” I stepped out and he let go.
“Wha-”
“ Call your Mom and I'll talk to her.” This plan probably wouldn't work out but it was worth a shot. I couldn't lose my Frankie and I sure as heaven wasn't going to let anyone rip us apart.
“Here,” he gave me the phone and I heard it ring a few times before an answer.
“Hey. It's Gerard. Frank's...boyfriend.”
“hey Gerard. You with Frank?"
"Yeah. He does a lot better when I'm there to show him-"
"Gerard. What is it? Tell me what's really on your mind."
"Well...okay. Frank and I can't stand being away from each other and it kills me to see Frank so sad. And I've been sad too... And... Can he come stay with me and my brother in Belleville? We have tons of room and ... My parents are okay with it. I jus needed your permission." There was a silence before I heard her breathing again.
"Gerard honey... No. It's too much of a risk-"
"Mrs.Iero, I love Frank. He loves me! I promise I'll take good care of him....I have before."
"umm..." I held my breath as I waited.
"Mrs.Iero?"
