Change Days

“Daddyyyyyy!!!” Miles, Lily and Cherry hollered when they saw Frank waiting for them at the airport. They run to hug him. Frank was elated, he missed his family so much. He had pretty much finished his album, but he wanted to spend a week or two with Jamia and the kids in New York before going back home.

“It was amaaaaaaaaazing daddy”, said Cherry, still hugging Frank’s leg. “So cool! Tell me about it, sweetie”, said Frank while Miles was hoping his back, asking for a piggy-ride. Lily grabbed him and Jamia by the hand, and they all walked to the parking lot together. Cherry was giving a detailed description of every single thing they did, pausing for a dramatic effect, and yelling when she got to the most exciting parts of her story.

They got to the apartment and had dinner together. The kitchen and the dining-room had become a real mess. “I missed this”, Frank smiled. “I missed this too”, added Jamia, caressing the back of his hand. After the kids fell asleep, they cuddled in the sofa, watching a movie on Netflix.

- Hun?
- Hmmm?
- Uhm... I called Ray some days ago.
- How’s he doing with his tour?
- Great! He’s got a gig tomorrow in Romania I think? Or was it Ukraine?
- Nice. What did he say about... you know?
- Uhm... He’s okay with it. In fact, he’s really excited about it.
- That’s great, baby. What are you going to do then?
- Well... I’ll wait until he comes back, first of all... And... I don’t know... We’ll see.
- I’m glad he said yes.
- Yes?
- Of course... I want you to be happy, and... you know I’ll always support you, no matter what you want to do. You know that, right?
- That’s why I married you, love. That... and also the fact that you are hot as fuck -Frank giggled.
- Oh, shut up! -she guffawed and threw a pillow on his face.
- Oh. No. You. Didn’t... You know what this means? -asked Frank when she stuck out her tongue- TICKLE FIGHT!!!

They both laughed and tickled each other for a while. Jamia won, she always wins their tickle fights.
