There's no way I'm leaving you

I had awoken to the god awful sound of my alarm. "Great another year of my life wasted all because dad is making me go to school for the billionth time" I said to myself. "Eli wake up" I spoke throwing a pillow at my sisters face. "Tell daddy I'm not going I've already passed high school with a 5.0 gpa I can't get any smarter! I have a masters degree in musical arts performing arts and mechanical engineering! Why should I have to go back to high school?!" she retorted throwing her legs over the side of her bed. "Do you think I want to go either?! I have the same degrees you do and a degree in medical science because I was a double major! I hate being a demon and the contacts I have to wear are starting to piss me off." Elisa and I have to wear contacts because well our eyes are purple and I don't mean dark purple that could be basses off as black I mean bright purple that glowed when we got angry. Walking around the human world with eyes like that would turn a few heads. Suddenly our door sprang open and our father stood in the doorway.

"Girls I know you don't want to go. But listen you two insisted we live in the human world so I granted that wish but you girls look like teenagers so you have to go to high school. Hurry up or you'll be late. Understood?" "Yes daddy.." we spoke. He was right it was our decision to live in the human world but couldn't we just be homeschooled? We both slung ourselves out of bed and got dressed I wore an old Good Charlotte t-shirt and black Skinny jeans with converse. I stood in front of a mirror putting on black eyeliner and taming the mane that was my hair. It was black and had purple streaks in it. Me and Elisa would get mistaken for each other until we dyed out hair. She dyed hers red and I did purple. When I finished getting dressed I skipped downstairs where Eli and dad were sipping coffee. "Elisa we have to go we're gonna be late!" "Ugh fine but you're driving" she said tossing me the keys. "Bye daddy!" we said running out the door it only took 5 minutes to get to the school.' Sea Coast High, home on the hawks.'

"I'm not going to miss this place at the end of this year" we said in unison. We grabbed our bags and headed to the office to get our schedules for this year. For the first time since third grade we didn't have the same classes. We shared some like Chorus and Guitar but other than that it was completely different. Elisa looked scared. She was always a victim of bullying when I wasn't around. I wasn't going to let that happen to my little sister. "Listen Elisa don't worry. It'll be fine. Remember what I told you it takes 42 muscles in your face to smile and ignore them but only 4 muscles in your arm to extend your hand and bitch slap those fuckers okay?" I made her laugh "okay! And Ari please don't kill anyone" "no promises" I smiled. "Arisa please?" "Okay, okay! I promise" "Good! I'll see you 3rd period" she spoke turning on her heels and disappearing into the crowd. This is going to be hell. I thought to myself.

I walked to my locker dumping my unnecessary belongings in. I closed my locker and headed to first period. Calculus. I stepped into the classroom not many people were inside since it was 15 minutes before the bell would ring. I took a seat at the back corner of the classroom my usual seat for classes because for a few minutes I could take my blasted contacts out. I would just make the illusion that they were hazel like usual. My eyes scanned the classroom at the handful of people within the room. My eyes stopped on a boy his hair was black and it draped down his face. Some places still blonde from where it had obviously been dyed. Something about him seemed off. He didn't look like a normal human. His milky white skin had almost a glow to it. 'What the hell? He's not human he can't be..'

I found myself drawn to him. It wasn't like me to act like me to act like this or to give a fuck but I couldn't help it. I found myself going through his thoughts. 'I hate it here, why is mom forcing me here again? Just because Mikey needs to go doesn't mean I have to' he thought. I was confused at the thought. I mean he looked my age at most 19 what the hell is he taking about? Then it hit me. He's a vampire. I could tell he wasn't a demon because demons have a certain demeanor to them that he didn't have. Also he was more pale than a peice of paper. I spaced out within my own thoughts when someone wa standing in front of me and scared the living hell out of me. It was him. "Do you have a problem?" he asked agitated. "what the absolute hell are you talking about?" "you were staring at me so if you have something to say, say it" his voice trailed and his eyes widened. "Oh, I'm sorry I spaced out.. What are you..." I realized what he was staring at. Shit I let my guard down and he could see my eye color. What if I had been wrong about him being a vampire and he was just a really pale human who hated school. "You're not human.." his voiced trailed. Shit. What do I do? "Neither are you." I replied.

"I preferred you keep that to yourself." he spoke, letting out a small grin. 'His smile is cute' I thought to myself. What?! I can't be thinking things like this! I sighed "You keep my eye color to yourself and you got yourself a deal. Mr. Vampire" I said returning the smile. He sat in the empty seet next to me. "My name is Gerard. Mr. Vampire is my father" he laughed. "I'm Arisa" I smile I might not hate this school year as much as I thought. Then someone came in the door a relatively short boy with peircings walked through the door. He walked towards me and Gerard and smiled. "Gee I didn't think you'd find a girlfriend this fast!" he joked. I blushed. "Shut up Frank, she isn't my girlfriend" he said turning away.

"I'm Arisa" I said looking up. "Frank Iero" he said smiling warmly "And if you aren't Gee's girl I can make you mine!" he continued putting his arm around me. I pushed him away. "In your dreams shorty" "Rejected again" Gerard laughed. Frank grumbled to himself and took a seat behind us when the bell rang.

The teacher stood in front of the class and spoke "I'm Mrs. Lima I'll be your new calculus teacher. I don't have anything planned except the rules and procedures bull they make me tell you in the first week but I expect most of you to already know so just talk amongst yourselves after I take attendance and if administration comes in act like you're talking about rules and procedures." I was going to get along with Mrs. L perfectly. After she took attendance I took out my note book and started drawing and singing to myself.

why did the last one tear us apart?

I was interrupted when I heard Gerard singing with me. "you listen to Mayday Parade?" "Yeah, I also like Pierce the Veil" he said smiling a toothy grin. 'Marry me right now' I thought. Well I accidentally thought out loud and Gerard laughed at me. "by the look on your face I can tell you weren't supposed the say that" "I wasn't. My mouth betrayed me." I was still beet red when the bell rang. "what class do you have next?" I asked "Biology" he said. He looked angry. "oh me too!"

This should be an interesting year
