The Aftermath is Secondary

After hours and hours of patrolling and killing off random Draculoids and drones we decided to head back to the diner.

"Are you okay Toxic?" Poison asked and I was shaken from my thoughts. I looked at him ,wide eyed I'm sure, and just nodded.

"I'm fine, don't worry about me." I said strongly. I didn't need anyone to worry about me. Not Kobra, not him, and most definitely not my uncle. I wasn't worth the trouble.

"You know for being a master assassin you are really bad at lying." He commented and left it there. Was I really that much of a mess? How could just being around them gotten me so attached. It hadn't even been a day. "Fuck." He muttered and I heard the engine sputter.

"What's wrong?" I asked. This couldn't have been at a better time. It was getting darker and that always means it's easier to get away.

"We're out of gas. We'll have to camp out tonight, go and get gas in the morning." He sighed and I couldn't help but buzz with excitement.

"I'll keep watch." I offered and he looked at me, narrowing his eyes sightly and just nodded slowly.

-Poison's POV-

"I'll keep watch." She offered and I noticed how her attitude had changed. She went from nervous to excited. I narrowed my eyes slight but just nodded slowly. If she planned on killing me, I hated to tell her it wouldn't be as easy as it looks.

She hopped from the car and I watched her look around cautiously and she pulled off her sweater. My eyes traveled over all the scared skin and I felt a rush of jealousy run through me. I knew something was going on between her and my brother. She didn't even give me a shot.

My body moved before could really stop it and I grabbed her arms, pushing her against the car.

"Poison..."She started but I cut her off by crushing my lips into hers. I just couldn't help it anymore. Toxic stood there for a second but then I felt her lips moving against mine. Did this mean she wanted to kiss me?

I left my hands roam over her arms and up to her neck as I pulled her closer. Her hands gripped my forearm lightly and I pulled back after a few more seconds, needing to breathe again. I tilted her head up with my thumbs and she had a distraught look on her face.

"What's wrong?" I asked, concerned and she pulled away from my grip.

"You shouldn't have done that." She whispered and looked away, her back to me, and held a hand to her mouth. "We shouldn't have done that." She started to shake her head and I looked at her confused.

"Is this about Kobra? Look we don't have to tell him what happened." I started, not caring about my own brother's feelings just for once. She turned towards me and cupped my face with her hands. Her skin was like ice.

"It's not about Kobra, or you. It's me. I..I'm a liability. Korse, he has my sister. God knows if she's even human anymore, but I have to know she's alright." She said and I noticed the tears welling up in her eyes.

"No, don't give me the 'it's not you, it;s me' speech. Please." I begged her only caring about the first part of her statement.

"I'm a time bomb, and you know it." She looked away from me, pulling her hand from my face but I grabbed her wrist.

"What are you talking about?" I demanded.

"Let me go Poison." The look in her eyes was so sure and sad at the same time. Before I could answer a loud whirring sound came from above us. She stepped away from me and looked behind me.

"Finally decide whats for the better?" A familiar voice said and I spun around to find the one and only Korse. "Ah Party Poison will you be joining my lovely Siren on this trip?" He smirked and she stood in front of me..

"Leave him the the others out of this." Her voice was solid and swift and soon enough she was surrounded by Draculoids as the hauled her onto the helicopter and I went to run after her to find myself handcuffed to the door handle. I had to stand there and watch my only chance at happiness fly off with the man I hated.

So yeah...PLOT TWIST....I feel evil, don't know why. Well hope you enjoy this Chapter and I'm going to try and come up with a schedule when I'm going to update so you all know when new chapters will be up and all that jazz
