The Aftermath is Secondary
Chapter 3
My hand flipped to my gun and I shot the first two but felt a burning sensation in my shoulder and shot the Drac beside me, leaving only one left. I held my shoulder and went to hold my arm up when a red laser hit the Drac right in the chest.
"Ghoul, get her." Kobra's voice said and I felt arms wrap around my torso and I couldn't find the energy to fight away from him. My vision clouded with black spots and I fell into a dark sleep.

-Fun Ghouls's POV-
I sat next to the Toxic's unconscious body while Poison paced in front of us.
"Dude why are you freaking out?" I asked and looked over Toxic. Her short black hair barely covered her face and her piercings glistened off the glare of the sun coming through the broken windows of the diner.
"The Dracs know we're here. They'll come for us, for her." He said and I cocked an eyebrow.
"Her?" I asked, a tiny smirk plastered on my face and he stopped realizing what he said.
"Shut up Ghoul." He said and stomped out of my room. He slammed the door which caused Toxic stir and she groaned.
"I've got to stop getting shot." She mumbled more to herself and I let out a laugh, alarming her and she reached for her gun but I held my hands up.
"It's just me, Ghoul, no one else." I said quickly, not wanting to be shot. She let out a breath of air and sat up. Half way up she let out a little cry of pain and held her shoulder.
"Why am I still here?" She asked and I looked at her, confused.
"Well you did get shot, we weren't just going to leave you out there to die." I said and she shrugged slightly.
"Surprise." She said and went to get up but I stopped her.
"Are you crazy, you just got shot. Most people don't even survive that. Rest." I said and she glared up at me. I returned the glare and she huffed, laying back down carefully. "Don't even think about leaving during the night." I warned and left, shutting the door behind me.

-Toxic's POV-
I sat up after a while of just starring at the ceiling. My shoulder still hurt but I knew it would for a while. I grabbed a pack of cigarettes that were buried in my pile of things and tried the door. Locked. I walked around until I found a bunch of windows. I climbed through them, seeing as there was no glass and saw a ladder to the roof. Perfect.
I climbed onto the roof and lit the cigarette and inhaled. After a few seconds I exhaled and pulled my knees to my chest and wrapped my arms around them. I watched the little sun set finally go all the way down, leaving a tiny glow over the land.
"What are you doing out here?" I heard a voice ask and looked over to see Poison standing on the ladder.
"Couldn't sleep." I said quietly and took another drag of my cigarette. He climbed all the way up and sat next to me. It was the first time I had seen him without his mask. He was pretty gorgeous.
"That'll kill you, ya know." He said and I nodded.
"I rather it be these than Korse." I said, looking over at him and he shrugged.
"I think that if you die doing whats for the best or what you stand for than it wasn't really your death. Just a checkpoint where someone else can step in." He looked back at me and I let out a little laugh. "What?" He asked smiling and I shook my head.
"I've never heard anyone talk about death like that." I smiled a little. It felt nice, to smile. I hadn't in ages. My thoughts were brought back to the present when I noticed we had gotten closer. I didn't move and in all honestly I didn't want to. What are you doing Siren?! Your sister is being tortured and you're obsessing over a guy you just met! My mind screamed at me and I got up quickly. "I've got to go." I stuttered out.
"Toxic," He started but my feet moved me to the ladder quickly. Halfway down I just jumped down and ran back to the windows, jumping in. What was wrong with me?
