Dreams Really Do Come True

*Summer's P.O.V.*

It's been a few days since I first met Gerard. We've been hanging out a lot actually. Everyday after school I go over to his house and we just lay around and watch movies, eat, have pillow fights and laugh. I haven't felt safe going home so he lets me spend the night sometimes. Currently we are just laying on his bed cuddling while the radio is on.
"What are you thinking about?" I shifted slightly so I could see him.
"Just how perfect this feels right now." He tightened his grip on me and I smiled. He laid in silence a little longer before I heard him start to snore. I giggled a little and closed my eyes. He was right, this did feel perfect. I let sleep take over me and for the first time in forever, I felt completely safe.

-The next morning-

When I woke up, Gerard was no longer beside me. I sat up and saw a small note on the bedside table.

Goodmorning beautiful,
I'm sorry I'm not beside you but you won't be too disappointed when you come downstairs.

I smiled at the note and crawled out of bed. I pulled on a shirt and made my way to the hallway. Rose petals were on the floor, creating a path down the stairs. My smile widen a little and I made my way into the living room. Gerard was sitting on the couch with a red rose in his hand.
"What is all this Gee?"
"Well, I was trying to think of something special for you."
"Why?"
"Because I feel that if you're going to ask a girl to be your girlfriend, you should do something special."
I felt my heart do flips in my chest. I didn't think anyone would ask me to be their girlfriend. Let alone someone as amazing as Gee.
"So, Summer," He stepped closer to me and smiled, "Will you be my girlfriend?"
I couldn't speak, I just nodded my head and smiled like an idiot. He smiled back and picked me up, turning me around. Once I was back on my feet, he leaned in and kissed me. It was a gentle kiss that said 'I love you'. I couldn't believe this was happening. For once there's a real smile on my face.
