Summary
Brooklyn Summer's mom died two years ago. Ever since then her life hasn't been the same. Her father has change dramatically. One morning while she is running away from her house she runs into the new kid. His bright red hair catches her eye. She doesn't know much about the boy but she feels safe with him. What she doesn't know is that he's running from his past. Will Brooklyn learn the past or just be blinded by the events of the present and dreams of the future?

Senior at Belleville. Star of the football team and dating Cristal. He is secretly gay and likes the class president Ray Toro. He's the only one who knows that Cristal is bi.
Brooklyn Summer
Sophomore at Belleville high. She doesn't have any friends. Her mother died two years ago from a drunk driver. Her dad is a drunk. She meets Gerard and feels that he's who she has been waiting for.
Cristal Lexington
Sophomore at Belleville high. She's a popular wannabe. She's dating the star of the football team Bob Bryar. She has bullied Summer since 4th grade. Her parents are the richest family in town. They own the town's biggest mall. She is secretly insecure and is bisexual.
Frank Iero
English Teacher at Belleville. He's gay but no one knows. Starts to like Mikey. Helps Gerard keep his past hidden away and plan for a better future.
Gerard Way
Senior at Belleville high school. Had to move because of his past. Meets Brooklyn on his first day. Doesn't have a lot of friends. Lives with his brother in a small apartment. Falls in love with Brooklyn from the moment he met her.
Mikey Way
Gerard's brother. He's a sophomore like Brooklyn. He's gay. Has a thing for his English teacher, Frank.
Ray Toro
Junior at Belleville. Befriends Gerard and Bob. Class president and head of the math team. He has liked Bob since his freshman year.
