Life On The Murder Screen
I'm Not Much Of A Poet, But A Criminal
(Frank's POV)
I saw an ad at school saying a hacker was needed. Of course, it was in unicode symbols only certain people could decipher. I can, Mikey probably could so I called the number and asked if two people could hack into the school files. The automated voice approved and I called Mikey. When we were at the park, I kissed him! I didn't mean to… I just felt the urge to. It felt so right. He was blushing, I was, too. I have to tell him about the job! "Can you uh hack?" I ask him, straight forward. He nods, "I've done it before, but what do you want to be broken into?" He asks, he must really know. "The school files. Some guy needs his class schedule changed and his grades boosted a bit." I explain, with Mikey nodding through it. "That's easy. I've done that before. For Gerard, my brother. He needed to get at least an 80% in each class in order to go to this Arts Camp thing. So I just did that without him knowing, he still doesn't know." Mikey smirks, he looks so cute! You can kinda see his dimples. His phone rings and he answers, "hello?…. *pause* Oh, hey!" He smiles ….*pause*… "I'm at the park with a friend… *pause* You're at home? Oh uh okay…. I'll be home soon…." He hangs up, friend….? I have a friend? I look up at him and he smiles, "My computer had crashed before you called, it's pretty old and stuff. So, my parents went out and got me a new one. They know I'd panic without it." He grins. "Gerard kinda wants me home, so would it be cool to meet with you later tonight? I can bring my new laptop…. if that's cool?" I nod, I probably won't be able to meet with him tonight without getting into any trouble, but for him? Worth it.
(Mikey's POV)
I run up to my room with my new computer. It's an Alienware laptop. They're amazing for games! I turn it on and I set up everything as quick as I can. I put it in my bag and I put a notebook in there with a few pens. Gerard knocks on the door and I get up and I open it, "Hey, uh where were you?" He asks. "I was at the park with Frank." I respond with a short answer. "Frank?" He looks at me, quizzically. I nod, "My new friend. He just came to our school…" I elaborate a bit. "Oh. Can I meet him tomorrow at lunch maybe?" He offers. I know he doesn't mean any harm. "Sure. I'll text you when to meet us." I order him. He nods and as he's leaving the room, he mumbles a thanks. "Wait! For what?" I ask and he just continues to walk. I shrug and close my door. I open the window and throw my backpack onto the tree house we will never use. I use the zipline to get onto it. We had it when Gerard and I shared a room. I can't believe it still works… I climb down the ladder and I call Frank. He gives me directions to the guy's house instead of the park. I walk there and I meet up with Frank halfway there. We talk about music and games until we reach the house. It's an older victorian with white trim and blue shutters. A dark blue door, with a wrap around porch. Kind of welcoming, kind of sketchy… There's some tagging on the side trim, but I don't pay too much attention to it. We knock and the door opens with a shadowed figure to be revealed. He gestures us in and we walk in. He leads us to his room. It's filled with a desktop with a few monitors, empty energy drink cans and video game cases everywhere. This looks like my room.. We sit on the couch that was pushed against a wall for no needed use. "Okay… Well, my parents are going to cut me off if I don't keep my grades at a 90%… The schedule I have fucks me up. They also said that they're gonna take away my laptop if I don't join a club. I was thinking, we could maybe make a club? So it seems like I'm social.." He explains his situation and a solution. We both nod, "Uh, not meaning to push, but what's your name?" He takes off his hood and stretches. "Ray. Ray Toro. What're your names?" Ray asked as he gets up and walks around, placing stuff in random places. "I'm Frank Iero and that's Mikey Way." Frank gestures to himself then me, Ray nodding. "What will we call our group?" I speak up. "It could be about gaming and coding.. Uh.. There's French club and chess club so just code club?" Frank suggests and we all nod. Ray tosses us all energy drinks and we all crack them open in unison. "To new friends and new groups, hopefully to not losing any of my treasured items." We hit our energy drinks together, as Ray toasts with a clink and take a huge gulp, Ray chugging his. He throws his can into the pile of empty cans and he turns his computer on. I'm finally proud to say I'm an anti-social geek type thing. I have friends now!
Notes
