We're All Full Of Lies

Authors Note

Okay so to begin I honestly cannot express how thankful I am to every single one of you that joined me in the journey of creating this story. Without you guys this story wouldn't even exist and it was truly my honor to share this with you! More importantly it was my honor to share something that you guys enjoyed to the extent that you did, as a writer there is nothing more satisfying than providing readers with something they feel they are apart of and can enjoy immensely. So again, I thank you so very very much.

I began this story a little around two months ago and for me personally it's been amazing to watch not only the story progress and but also my writing. I would like to think that each chapter, in terms of writing, was a little bit better than the last. I learnt a lot while writing this, about my skills and practice as a writer and about myself. Funnily enough I learnt more about myself through my characters and their characterization than in any other form of person discovery of which I've taken part. So that in itself - story aside - was truly rewarding.

I was apprehensive to share this story, I could never figure out why, but I know it took some personal convincing to get me to click that upload button. However after re-reading this story from start to finish and just thinking about the times I was writing I realised that this story contained a very metaphorical yet raw representation of myself, whether it be through dialogue, the relationship between two characters or a specific event everything came from a very pure and emotionally important place. And that I believe was the cause of the apprehension.

As for inspiration behind this story, well it was very much a spur of the moment - out of nowhere thing and the original plot line finished after Tyler and Ray where caught . But for some reason I felt the need to continue, I felt there was more I needed to say. And regardless whether you gained anything special from this or it was just a pure enjoyment thing I still feel satisfied with what I portrayed.

One thing I really do want to share with you is the novels I was reading during the process of making this. These novels definitely helped me in a multitude of ways whilst writing this story, so I shall list them here:
1. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock by Matthew Quick
2. The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time by Mark Haddon
3. Will Grayson, Will Grayson by by John Green and David Levithan
4. Aristotle And Dante Discover The Secrets Of The Universe by Benjamin Alire Sáenz
You're probably wondering why two of those are bolded and the answer is very simple, those two books not only changed my entire perspective on writing and story telling but also greatly impacted me as a person, they are spectacular books and if you only ever read two novels in your life let it be those two.

Now this note is getting rather lengthy so I shall wrap it up with another thank you and some shameless self promotion. ;)
I am beginning to work on a Frerard that so far is going to be along the lines of a horror/mystery/thriller so I'm super excited to be able to share that with you when it is ready. I will post the link on here, so stay subscribed to be notified as soon as its uploaded! Or if not it will be titled If You Dare so just search that. I'm hoping to have it up in the next week!

So thank you again and I shall leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
“You are the books you read the films you watch, the music you listen to, the people you meet, the dreams you have, the conversations you engage in. You are what you take from these. You are the sound of the ocean, the breath of fresh air, the brightest light and the darkest corner. You are a collective of every experience you have had in your life. You are every single second of every single day. So drown yourself in a sea of knowledge and existence. Let the words run through your veins and let the colours fill your mind.”
