Let Me Teach You A Thing Or Two
Chapter Sex I Mean Six
I turn around to see everyone has left. Thanks guys. I shake my head and rub the back of my neck as I slam my locker. The bell has rung already so no one will see me walk out the door. I head my way towards the dugout. Only Gerard and Bob are there from what I see, plus that girl from music and shakespeare’s class, whose name I cannot remember. Gerard must really like her if she is here. I mean I don’t blame him, I mean look at her. She is so pretty. Her hair is like mine, all froish. She has light milk chocolate skin and from what I saw from music class she can sing, play guitar, and play piano. Fucking talented. Not only can she play but she prefers music over anything. Wow, I don’t know her name but I remember all this. This girl has got me already.
Someone wraps their arm around my shoulders. Ah. There’s Mikey. I look at him with an eyebrow cocked up. I take his arm off of me and chuckle.
“Hey Mikey,” I say.
“Hey,” he replies.
“Do you know who that is?” I ask him as I point at her.
“I mean she is in our music class but I don’t know her name or remember it,” Mikey says.
“Seems like we have a mystery on our hands.”
“You are so weird,” Mikey states as we finally get to the gang.
"Well look what the wind blew in!" Gerard chuckles as he lights up a cigarette and blows smoke out of his mouth. Personally I think that’s a nasty thing to get involved with but whatever, it’s his choice.
"Hey Gee," Mikey says as he sits down across from Gee in the hole. I pop a squat next to Jada, blush forms on her cheeks. Oh my. How adorable. I was studying her eyes, they are such a pretty brown. Soon enough I feel my cheeks get warm.
"Hey, I'm Mikey and you are?" Mikey acknowledges her. She turns her attention away from her lap to Mikey. A smile forms, a nice one I should say.
"Oh.. uh, Jada, Jada Jarvis," she stutters. What a cool name, I don’t think I ever heard of that name before.
"I'm Ray, Ray Toro," I say sarcastically as I hold out my hand which she replies with a shake back "so what year are you? Freshy?"
“Ew. No. Junior. I moved from New York," Jada replies. Oh wow only a grade behind. Perfect.
"New York, eh? I love it there, wish I could live there,” Gerard speaks up as he blows out smoke from the side of his mouth. From the corner of my eye I see Jada swatting away the smoke. See, this is why he shouldn’t smoke.
“Oh shit sorry! Does the smoke bother you?” Gerard asks sincerely. Well by the way she is swatting at the air I would say yes.
“A little but I can deal,” she confesses.
“Okay cool,” Gerard say as he smiles and puts the cigarette back into his mouth.
I look at Jada and she pulls out her lunch. Fancy. From what I see it’s sushi. I mean I like fish but not really sushi. But then again I can’t really say anything because I never actually have had it before.
“Sushi?” I quesion.
“Uh… yeah. I love sushi. Everyone else can eat pizza everyday. I, on the other hand, can eat sushi everyday. If it wasn’t so goddamn expensive,” she explains as she puts one in her mouth and looks up at me. I smile and look down at my bag which contains my lunch. I pull out a plastic container that has a ham and cheese sandwich in it. My favorite. I start to munch on it then pull out an Arizona Ice Tea.
Swallowing what I had in my mouth I look over at Gerard. He pulls out a sharpie and from the looks of it is searching for something. “Gee what are you doing?” I ask.
“Writing Jada’s name on the piece of wood,” He replies with his face in the dugout making it hard for me to hear. I remember that day, it was freshman year and no one ever talked to us so we decided to sit outside by this here dugout. This is where we would come to skip a class, eat lunch, or just come out to smoke. Gerard one day had a sharpie found a piece of wood, a beam that holds up the dugout, and wrote our names on it. It was like we made a pack that day.
“Oh no way!” Mikey exclaims, he looks up at her all bright eyed and bushy tailed, “That means you are definitely one of us now!”
“Welcome to the Pity Club,” Bob says sarcastically, wow look who finally is speaking up.
“Oh come on we aren’t like that,” I say.
“Yeah, negative Nancy,” Mikey says as he sticks out his tongue.
“More like the Breakfast Club,” Gee speaks up. Totally, that movie is the bomb.
“Awe, thank you guys,” Jada gushes.
“It no biggie, really,” I say honestly. It really isn’t we are just a bunch of losers.
I pack the container away and see gerard helping jada up. I hold out my hand as if to say help me up. He pulls me up and I brush my self off. I look up to see Mikey and Bob walking away. Just chatting away. Weird. Bob hasn’t said a word but when he’s with Mikey it’s like a lightbulb went off or something. I shrug my shoulders and look at gerard, he looks back and we begin to walk back to the building with Jada in between us.
(Time Laps)
School is over and I couldn’t be happier. The guys and I are suppose to go get coffee and chill at Gerard’s. I haven’t hung out with them in forever. The last few weeks in summer we didn’t hang out because I got a job and everyone else was busy. I stop at my locker and work at my lock when I feel a tab on my shoulder. I turn around to see who it is, it’s Jada. She has a smile on her face as she hugs her books. I lean against the locker next to mine which I believe is Mikey’s but it doesn’t matter.
“Hey there,” I greet her.
“Hi,” she replies with blush forming on her cheeks.
“What may I help you with?”
“Oh nothing actually I wanted to give you something,” she tells me as she pulls out ripped piece of paper. She hands it to me and I read it.
Call me. Or text me.

-Jada
Oh shit. A girl gave me her number. I didn’t even ask for it. My cheeks start to turn red, when I look up she is already turning around the corner. I run to the end of the hallway and peek around the corner. There she is at her locker trying to open it. Perfect. I run back to mine and open it. I grab my bag but a binder in it along with a note book. I also grab my leather jacket. I slam my locker and jog over to Jada’s. I casually lean against the wall and look at her. I clear my throat. She jumps a little and looks at me with blush forming on her face.
“So the guys and I are hanging out at Gerard’s place. I was wondering if you wanted to join us,” I ask her trying to be all cool.
“Um… Yeah sure, I’ll tag along.” SUCCESS!!! A smile grows on my face.
“Alright well when you are done getting your stuff just meet me by our lockers.” I walk away and go to see the guys. Bob and Mikey are there waiting for Gerard to finish packing up.
“Wow you are slow,” I chuckle as I stand next to Gerard.
“Oh, shut up. I just got here.”
“Oh c’mon Way, chill.”
“Sorry. Anyway where were you?”
“Oh I was talking to Jada.”
“Alright.”
Gerard finishes and slams his locker then casually slips his shades on. Right on cue Jada walks around the corner. Oh shit. I forgot.
“Oh yeah Gee. I kind of invited Jada is that cool?” I ask him.
“Yeah, no problamo whatsoever,” he replies.
“Alright, rad.”
She stops in her tracks and waits for us. I point in the direction to go and she begins to walk. We finally reach the car, I hit the unlock button on the car keys. I also pop the trunk to throw my bag in. I lift it up and toss mine in, Bob and Mikey walk behind me and they throw theirs in also. I hold out my hand to take Jada’s, she hands it to me and I place it in. I shut the trunk and hop into the front seat.
“I sit in the back with Mikey and Bob,” Gerard offers.
“Oh you don’t have to, I like sitting in the back,” she interjects.
“Are you sure?” Mikey asks from the back.
“Yeah, totally,” she replies as she gets into the back seat. Gerard looks at me and shrugs. I just shake my head and put the keys in the ignition. Gerard gets in and blasts some smashing pumpkins. He rolls down the window and sticks his feet out.
“So where are we going?” I ask Gerard.
“Starbucks?”
“Sounds good.” I pull out of the student parking lot and drive on.

Alright so here is chapter 6 yay! So the play is over finally. Kind of sad tho. This was the last show for the seniors, sad to see them go. Everyone has to move on. So yeah. Tell me what you think! I love reading what you all have to say!
