You're Beautiful To Me.
I Will Die In This Place
Selena's P.O.V.
Slosh... Slosh...
The liquid in the bag moved with the rhythm of my body. It made my arm scratch and my spine tingle. The needle sticking out of my arm and secured with medical tape, made my skin crawl and my stomach move into my throat. I needed a pan. Fast. The nurse saw my sickly face expressing my urgent needs, and ran over to me with a pan to spill my guts into. I did so as she petted my back and held my hair out of my way. None of this was comfortable. Not the shiny white walls. Not the lumpy, poorly manufactured chair I was in. Not the sickly, balding patients. Not the people who know they're going to die and the chemo is good for nothing but buying time. "You only have a half of an hour left, sweetheart." The nurse said, trying to reassure me. I sighed. "Do you want me to take this? Or are you done?" She said reaching for the pan. I cut off her actions by involuntarily throwing up again. I kept my head bent down where it had been when I was vomiting. My greasy and stringy hair fell in front of my face as I tried to steady my breath. I out-stretched my arm and handed her the pan. "Take it." I croaked. She nodded with sad eyes and took the pan. Beads of sweat dew upon my forehead. Even if I wanted to puke I wasn't able to. I would just dry-heave because there was nothing left to throw up. I leaned my head back on the hair and closed my eyes. My eyelids were heavy and sore.
"Honey. Honey, wake up. It's time to go home." I heard my Aunt Rosie's voice but I couldn't open my eyes. In fact I couldn't move anything. I had full consciousness, but couldn't move. I was freaking out inside.
"She's just in shock. It happens to teenagers mostly. It's okay. She'll wake up in about fifteen minuets." Ugh. Fifteen minuets?
Finally I heard snapping near my ear. "Selena. If you can hear me, move your index finger on your right hand." I tried but it was week. "If you can hear me, open your mouth." I moved my lower jaw down a bit and separated my lips. "Okay. I am going to put some medicine in your mouth. If you can't swallow, move one of your fingers." A cold liquid made its way into my mouth. I swallowed it and a few minuets later, fully woke up.
"Come on, sweetie. Were going home." Aunt Rosie said sweetly. She led me out of the hospital and into her car. Once we were in there she started to talk. "You still have to go to school tomorrow." She smirked.
"I know. By the way..... When am I going to loose my hair?" I said with butterflies in my stomach.
"Actually, you won't. You have surgery in two weeks. The only reason that you're doing chemo is to keep the cancer small, and even reduce it a little before the surgery. You only have two more chemo sessions." I was so relieved.
"Oh, thank God." I said leaning my head back and closing my eyes.
"Hey. Don't fall asleep. I don't want you going into shock again." She warned.
"I'm not." I said lowering my eyebrows.
"Hey!" She said, jabbing a finger in between two of my ribs.
"I'm not!" I groaned, swatting her hand away from me.

Mikey's P.O.V.
I trudged myself onto the bus and sat in my scheduled seat, in front of Gerard.
"Hey!" He was already on the bus. "How's Selena?" He asked.
"She's good. She started chemo today. She'll be back tomorrow though." I said without looking at him. Instead, I stared at my name that was carved into the back of the seat in front of me, indicating that this was my seat. Some of the seat filling was poking out of the slits of my name and there were little Sharpie doodles around the slits. Things like faces and random words. We all had it. We always matched like that. We were like quadruplets with the kind of mom that would dress them and fit them with everything the same. The only difference was, both Frank and Ray had different parents than Gerard and I, and it was our choice. This is the place we all chose in the sixth grade. And we stayed here for like, seven years. It had always been like this. But not now. Now I was going to change it.
I took out a pocket knife from my bag and pressed it into the seat next to my name. I continued to push until I heard a pop, and dragged it in a certain pattern.
The seat now said Mikey+Selena forever.
"Mikey and Selena. Forever." I repeated
Mikey and Selena forever.
Notes
"Forever" cx It's funny because you don't understand, and you won't for a while. I love having this power :D
