You're Beautiful To Me.

Selena's P.O.V.

I walked over to my seat and sat down. I can't believe Gerard, of all people, was my desk neighbor.
"Well well. Long time no see. At least here you can't run from your problems." He hissed. Great. Day one and I already have enemies.
"I don't get why you can't just leave me alone. I didn't do anything." I avoided eye contact.
"Really? Because the dried spit left on my face would beg to differ!" I just kept staring ahead at the teacher. My heart was beating so fast I thought it might jump right out of my chest. I didn't know if he had been expecting me to say anything or not, but I was gonna say something anyways.
"How'd you get here before me, anyways?" This time I actually shot a glance at him from behind my hair.
"You don't know this school like I do, Hun." I ignored him for the rest of the period after that, praying that I didn't have any other classes with him. It was only about forty five minuets in actuality, but it felt like forever.

Finally it was the end of the day and I only had one period left. My other classes were fine. I didn't have any other classes with Gerard- thank God, but I did have two classes with both Frank and the guy with the fro. They were fine though. They never teased me. Just laughed and nudged each other when I walked through the door. Other than that they were actually pretty quiet. The occasional paper-ball throwing or giggling in the back. I had a different feeling about them...
The bell for 6th period rang and I started walking toward my last period. I had study hall last. Apparently all kids who transfer in the middle of the year automatically get study hall as one of their electives. I still had no friends at this school, so I walked in the halls alone. I hugged my books and papers on the way to all of my classes. They were my only friends at the moment. I walked past Gerard in the hall and averted my eyes. He was with Frank and the guy with the fro. I wondered where Mikey was and why I hadn't seen him all day. Suddenly I was taken from my world and back into reality when my ass was grabbed. I turned around to see Gerard firing a finger and thumb gun at me and winking. I flipped him off and turned to keep walking. In the background I could hear Frank and the other one laughing and 'oo-ing" again.
"Ha! She flipped you off dude!" I heard from frank in the back.
"Shut the fuck up, Frank!" Came from Gerard. I heard something- someone -slam against a locker and I looked back to see Frank sitting on the floor up against a locker, grabbing his stomach and laughing uncontrollably. He was laughing so hard he was almost blue.

I walked into room 207. Study hall. The good news was, I had it with Mikey. His back was facing the door so I just decided to go up to him. The seat next to him was empty.
"Is this seat taken?" He turned his head to answer, then noticed it was me. He got flustered and his face turned red. He looked back down at his paper and answered.
"Uh, n-no. No, it's not." He must have still felt embarrassed from when we last saw each other.
"Good." I smiled and sat down next to him.
"Look, I-I'm really sorry about what happened this morning. My brother can be a dick sometimes." He turned his head toward me a bit.
"It's fine. I know how to defend myself." I was still terrified of his brother even though I can defend myself.
"It's not fine. He shouldn't be running around doing that to people." I nodded.
"There's a lot of things people shouldn't be doing in the world. But they do it anyways." He nodded in agreement. We started having a conversation about ourselves and who we are. We got shushed and scolded by the teacher.
"So, was it true?" I asked. He was still kind of laughing from what I had previously said.
"Was what true?" He said smiling. I kinda wanted to let it go and say never mind. A part of me was scared and didn't want to know. But a bigger part of me wanted to know.
"What your brother said. About you liking me?" I put my hand on his knee. His smile quickly faded and his face got red. He looked down at the ground and nodded. Right then the bell rung and we both gathered our stuff. The timing was perfect too. The teacher had just left the class to get more paper. I leaned in and kissed him.

Mikey's P.O.V.

We had been talking the whole period. Laughing. Laughing was the best. I got to see her smile every time. She was so beautiful when she smiled. And every time she laughed her wavy red hair bounced on her chest. I hadn't been this happy in forever. I was happy until she asked the question.
"So, was it true?" At first I was confused at her question.
"Was what true?"
"What your brother said. About you liking me" Instantly my stomach dropped, turned, flipped, and knotted at the same time. My face got hot and I looked at my shoes. But she wanted an answer. She deserved one too, after what happened with Gerard that morning. I nodded and then the bell rang. I was ready to sprint to the bus. But then something happened. Something magical. Her silky lips touched mine. It was perfect. It only lasted about ten seconds, but it felt like heaven. We released but I didn't want to stop. I didn't want to ever stop.
