Don't Bring Me Your Bullets
Dreams
{Quinn's POV}
I woke up with a screech and a jump. My eyes popped open, adjusting to the murkiness of the room. There was wailing and I turned to see Gerard thrashing around in his dreams. Frank was gone, nowhere to be seen. I shook last night's nightmares out of my head, knowing they would be waiting for me when I fell asleep tonight.
Gerard screamed and continued to throw the blanket and twist himself up in the mattress. I slowly walked over to him and gently placed my hand on his shoulder. I slowly sat down next to him as he continued to screech and move around.
"Shhh Gerard. Shhh. Wake up, it's just a dream. Shh. It's okay. It'll be okay. Shhhhh. Wake up, c'mon bud, wake up." I whispered to him as soothingly as I could, but even I could hear the shaking in my voice. I rubbed his back. He jolted up, screaming, eyes wide. I jumped back, terrified for a moment.
"It's okay. You're awake now." I gulped. He turned to look at me, his gorgeous hazel eyes looking straight into mine. I saw terror, loneliness and depression in those lovely eyes. I reached slowly for his hand and stared into his eyes. "It's okay. You're okay now." I muttered. He nodded his head very slowly and shook the sleep out of his eyes.
"You saw that?" He asked with horror in his voice. I nodded my head and he clutched his head in his hands. I patted his back.
"I know what you're going through. You're not in this alone." I whispered. He wouldn't turn back to me. The door burst open and Frank galloped in. Gerard immediately sat up straight and his look of fear was replaced with a smirk.
"Look who's awake!" He shouted with a grin. He was such a happy guy all the time. I wish I could be like him.
"Define awake?" Gerard grumbled and Frank laughed. I smiled politely.
"Hey Quinn, I know you wanna go home, but we were gonna go catch a movie and, ya know, you're free to join." Frank shrugged. I shook my head.
"I want to go home." I answered. Frank nodded, shrugging again. He opened his mouth to say something when Gerard interrupted.
"Oh don't be such a stuck up bitch. Come have fun." Gerard sneered. I glanced over at him. He looked so smug. What an asshole! After I had just woke him up and taken him out of those nightmares.
I have to admit, although it was an asshole thing to say, I liked it.
And have I mentioned how hot he is?
"Gerard! Why would-" Frank started to scold him, but I held up a hand.
"Okay. A day out? Sounds fun. I'm in." I smirked back at Gerard. Oh. This was gonna be fun.
