Break for This Pt.1
I bit my lip trying to resist my words. But I didn't want to carry on with the argument, so I decided to wave my invisible white flag and tell Gee that I was wrong. He looked so cute when he was mad but I knew that if i didn't eventually give in, he would fall sleep at his desk in his office. Then he would wake up and pretend like nothing happened, but i didn't want to sleep knowing he was upset.
I walked into the kitchen and he was pretending to listen to music through his earphones. I knew he was pretending because his foot was not tapping ever so annoyingly and I saw him look up at me in a quick flash. He was drawing in his sketchbook. I waited for him to say something, then I remembered that he doesn't what 'compromise' or 'discussion' meant. So I had to be the one to break the silence.
"You are really stubborn, you know but I see where your coming from when you say I shouldn't have done that"
A minute passed then he responded
"I know you only wanted to be nice and do the right thing but please at least ask me before you offer people money"
I knew it was the completely wrong time but I couldn't help but giggle. He looked up at me and took out his earphones. Then he said.
"What the hell is so funny".
I smiled and told him.
"I said I would give her $50 for new art supplies, I didn't think it was that big a deal"
He stared blankly at me, then he ducked his head trying to hide his adorable smile. He tried to play it off as if he had to cough. I looked at him and said.
"And the Oscar for the worst fake cough goes to..."
He finally gave up and told me he didn't mean to over react. I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his waist and buried my head into the back of his shoulder.
After about 2 minutes I asked him if he wanted something to eat. He hadn't eaten since before 10, it's now almost 1 in the afternoon. He looked up from his sketchbook and said.
"I do, i'll make us something, anything, what do you want to eat"
"Surprise me" I said
He started to make lunch and in spirit of the surprise I walked over to the couch and watched some t.v to distract myself from looking behind me.
