- I really like you, Alice.

Alice felt like she was leaving her body, and just a part of her was still sitting on that kitchen chair.
After what seemed like an eternity she still felt her heartbeat on her throat and she did the only thing she knew how to do: escape.

- U-um... I-I

Gerard stared at her intensely

- I have to go, G-Gerard. before my mom wakes up, thanks for everything. - Alice said faster than she meant before getting up and rushing to the bathroom to put her already dry clothes in her backpack and rush again to the front door.

Alice couldn't concentrate on the steps she was taking, her head was spinning and her thoughts were a mess, so she tried to order them one by one.

"Did Gerard really meant what he told me minutes ago?, does he really like ME? why would he?" she thought feeling surprisingly mad. "nobody REALLY likes me, maybe he just made a bet with his brother or something to see if I would fall or not... and I kind of did OMG, I kissed him back... it wasn't just any kiss though..." she then remembered the delicious sourness of his coffe flavored lips, and couldn't help but to feel twirls inside her stomach; He really had kissed her, better than anyone had ever done before... and she felt... she felt so mad because she knew it must be a bet, how can she trust a guy she just met?

Alice arrived at her house before realizing how she had got there. She climbed the way up to her room without giving any importance to the twigs scratching her skin, she just wanted to get to her safe place: her room, she shouldn't have leave it in the first place.

She landed on her dark room and threw her backpack down her bed, she laid down on top of it and fell into a deep sleep.



She was woken up by the pain of hunger from her stomach, it was already dark outside and she was surprised she had slept all day, she didn't realize something until she rolled over to the other side of the bed: she was still wearing Gerard's clothes, her stomached twirled again.

Alice wonderes if her mom had called her at all during the day, but chances were she didn't heard her at all. She got out of her room, noticing that everything was dark except for the gap below her mom's room and the dim sound of the TV.

She walked towards the bathroom and once inside, she took off Gerard's clothes and left them on the floor, she entered the shower and turned on the shower. Thoughts invaded her again once the warm water started to run down her hair and body.

She felt pain and confusion, this couldn't be real, Gerard was such an interesting guy, she would never be able to match his talents or personality in any way, he wasn't afraid of being himself and she hadn't been herself in a long time. How could HE like her, he was also really handsome, it was just him and his brother playing a prank on her and who knows what people where going to say about her in school that Monday, everyone was going to talk about how easy she succumbed to Gerard's kiss, how easily she'd agreed to stay at the Way's brother's house barely knowing them.

The phone rang after Alice got out of the shower and she had to run to answer it.

- Hello

- Alice?
