*Alice's POV*

The days went by and it was Monday again, Alice had kind of ignored Gerard the past few days, she was still confused about this. The times that she passed by him were awkward as ever, she didn't know how to feel anymore. Sometimes she would smile at him and he would return the smile. But others she just preferred to look the other way.

One thing was true, though, as amazing as it seemed Gerard wasn't even talking to his harem of sluts. All the school was so confused by this that they have even forgotten about her and Gerard's fight in the hallway. They would call after him all the time and most of those times he wouldn't even turn to look at them, Maddy was a complete mess.

Maddy: I-I just don't get it -she said one day, passing her fingers through her already messy blond hair- I just like got this new Louboutin heels and he doesn't even turn to look at me!, I mean my bum looks amazing, doesn't it?!

The other sluts just nodded at their queen bee, although they nod at everything she would say.


As the days passed by Gerard would look more and more downhearted, he had tried to keep everything else as normal as he could, but people were noticing it. A sea of rumors started circulating around the school.

-I bet he got like an STD or something, I mean who knows with how many girls he has slept with.

-Maybe he's gay now.

-Yeah, I heard years ago that he once attended the school in drag.

Alice just felt more and more guilty as the days passed by, she was being horrible to Gerard. She wasn't supposed to be confused about it, and even if she was, she had already made sort of a pact with Gerard. And she wasn't even talking to him. She had to change the whole situation.

One day it just presented itself, Alice was in one of her singing classes. Professor Stump was one of the best teachers in the school, with an impressive singing career and a voice that could hit almost every tone possible. Although he was an excellent teacher, Alice wasn't hearing anything, she was watching Gerard sketching on his notebook a few seats away in front of her.

Professor Stump: ...so that's going to be the assignment for this month, I'm going to start choosing the couples.

What?! couples for what?! Alice hadn't heard anything.

Professor Stump: Okay so, Allan and Cecilia, Hanna and Travis...

Alice crossed her fingers below the desk. Oh lord please let me be with Linda, please let me be with Linda. The teacher continued as Alice pressed her eyes together.

Professor Stump: Alice and.. .-she felt her beating increasing- Linda

Alice: Yes! -Alice couldn't contain herself, everyone at the classroom stared at her. Professor Stump raised an eyebrow.

Professor Stump: You know what, Alice. Forget that, I want you to really challenge yourself this time, I'm going to pair you with Gerard.

It was like someone had poured iced water on her.

Alice: What?! No! Why?!

Professor Stump: I just wanna take you out of your comfort zone.

Alice: But

Gerard: It's not like I'm jumping of happiness to work with your stupid ass.

Everyone started laughing, Maddy being the loudest one, it had been so long since Gerard had talked to her like that. Alice chose to stay quiet, even if he was acting or not, she hadn't been the sweetest with him.
