We Lit The Fire And It's Burning Bright
Chapter 32
Frank's POV
I spotted Temper by the ticket collector, her back against the small shack. I smiled and waved.
"Hey Frank," she grinned and looked to my mother, astonished. "This is your mom?"
"You must be one of Frank's new friends, right?" My mother asked.
"And you must be the famous Ms.Iero," Temper laughed. "My name's Temper."
"Frank has said a lot about you."
She blushed and turned to me. "Like what?"
"You must be the mysterious one, right?"
"No, that's Gerard."
"Oh," she corrected herself. "You must be the crazy one, then."
Temper laughed and laughed. For a good ten minutes. "...yeah."
I saw Gerard nearing us with a cigarette in his fingers. He smiled. "Hey guys."
Temper raised a brow. "How's that pencil sharpener going for ya?"
"Useful," he admitted.
My mother whispered in my ear. " I thought you made friends your own age."
Gerard chuckled. "Hello, Ms. Iero."
"Hi," she replied. "Sir, I have to ask, how old are you?"
"Fifteen," he puffed smoke in the opposite direction.
"Honey, what are you doing with a cigarette?" she knocked it out of his hand. "Unhealthy."
"I wish my mom did that when I first started," he sighed. "Too late now."
"When did you first start?" My ma asked.
"A good six years back from now."
I knew my mom was going to say something else, but the show started and we took our seats. During the show, I glanced over at her. Her eyes were red, and staring straight at Gerard, who eventually got a(only one) shot of whiskey. Once the show finished, we bid our goodbyes and went our separate ways. My mother buckled her seatbelt.
"Frank, you've got two beautiful friends. Make sure they know that, okay?"
