You're Never Just A 'Nobody'

Today was it.
Today was the day I was finally getting married to Gerard, the love of my life.
A giant smile broke across my face, I was ecstatic.

Gerard had spent the night at Franks with the guys as it was apart of the tradition, so Maggie and Kat came over, which was absolutely amazing.

I raced down the stairs of the house me and my soon to be husband owned. It was a sunny Wednesday morning, which slightly surprised me as it was late September. I continued on with my daily morning routine; making breakfast and showering.
By the time I had gotten out of the shower, Maggie and Kat had awaken. Which was good because I didn't want to wake them and end up naked.

"Jesus Christ Ava, you look absolutely stunning!" Kat shrieked as she saw me come out of my room in the wedding dress (which I wanted to out on AT the church). Maggie couldn't say a word, her eyes just glued to my dress.

It was pure white and silky, and flowed down past under my waist. It had little flowers sowen to the dress to my breasts and where it met my waist. My mother had helped me pick it out, she said it makes me look more independent and older; which like other people, I didn't take offense to.

"Thankyou. I wouldn't wish for anything more. I love you guys" I said, tearing up and taking them both in a bone crushing hug. We all stood there and just enjoyed the moment.

"Okay, I think that's enough. We should probably get you there, it starts in 45 minutes" Maggie piped up, quickly fixing my makeup and completing the rest of my hair.

------------------- At The Church -------------------

Cars among cars were lined up together on the side of the road.
Gerard had mentioned that most of his family would be attending, and that my sisters would all be here with their kids and husbands. I was full of adrenalin as Maggie and Kat helped me out of the car.

Outside awaited Mikey. Because I didn't have a father anymore Mikey had offered on walking me down the aisle as I was going to be his sister in law, and I agreed with him, because I wouldn't have wanted anyone else.

"Avalon, you look gorgeous. Absolutely breathtaking." He commented, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear.
He was in a white dress shirt with a cute little waist coat and dark grey pants that matched with the waist coat.

"Thankyou Mikey, it feels like I'm carrying a tent, which really sucks." We both chuckle at my comment.

I mustn't have looked stressed or worried because Mikey never brought it up. Only if he knew.
I mean, what if Gerard had second thoughts? What if he's found someone else? What if it's not him in there at all?!

I hadn't realized, but Mikey had linked arms with mine and we stood in front of the wide church doors. Music started playing and we knew that was our cue.

The doors opened wide to reveal at least 40 people smiling and some even tearing up and Mikey walked me down. I saw my mother and sisters lined up at the front of the venue, smiling widely.

My gaze went up to the front. Gerard stood there, in a black and white tuxedo with a red bow tie down his white shirt. His hands were by his side and he stared directly at me. His eyes darted every feature of me, admiring me. Mikey quickly pecked me on the cheek and left to go sit with his mother and farther. Gerard instantly took my hands in his.

"You look perfect" He whispered, his eyes looking into mine with love, which made me melt.

"Avalon Jones, do you take Gerard Way to be your lawful wedded husband. To love, be loyal and faithful in the many years you both will share?" Asked the minister. I was speechless but managed to finally speak up,

"I do" I grinned.

"And do you, Gerard Way, take Avalon Jones to be your lawful wedded wife. To love, be loyal and faithful in the many years you both will share?" The minister asked Gerard.

"I definitely do." Gerard grinned also, tightening his grip on my hands, not hard, but as if to say 'fuck yes', which I totally agree with. The minister quickly let us know that now was the time to read our vows out.

"Ava," Gee started, "You are without a doubt the only woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. And if there is a life after that I want to spend it with you. I can't help but fall I love with you again and again everything we kiss, everything I look at you. You're perfect and I love you." He finished. My vision was starting to blur but I couldn't cry.

"Gee," I smiled, "Through the hard times we went through together I wouldn't allow myself let you go. I went around touring with you because there was no way I was letting you slip through my finger tips. I couldn't imagine life without you. You've changed me; for better and for worse, but in the end of the day, I love you, and that'll never, ever change." I finished.

We exchanged rings together, surprisingly smoothly considering both our hands were shaking like they were there own earthquake.

"By the power vested in me by the State of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride." The minister finished.

In milliseconds, Gerard grabbed my face and slammed his lips on mine. His hands slowly trailed down to my waist and rested there. My arms wrapped around his neck and I lightly tugged on his hair. Eventually we broke apart and faced the crowd. People were all over the place cheering and clapping, I noticed my mother crying and also Gerard's parents crying. I grabbed his hand in anticipation and began walking down the stairs, but soon being stopped and scooped up into Gerard's arms. He carried me down the aisle. It was still taking a while for me to comprehend what had just happened. It all felt like some dream, a surreal dream.
