You're Never Just A 'Nobody'

We had yet just finished another one of our shows. After taking a quick shower to freshen up we headed back to our van outside the venue. I could see Maggie on her phone, already in the van, talking to someone. I heard a tiny bit of the conversation and I imideatly knew who she was talking to,
Avalon.

Fuck. I missed her like crazy. I stood and watched Maggie communicate with Ava, she was smiling and giggling at the things Ava must have been saying. I wanted to talk to Ava so badly, it was killing me.
Since the band had started touring, I hadn't been caring for myself. My hair was greasy, I hadn't showered in days. Frank continuously reminded me Ava deserves better, because fuck yeah she obviously does.

'Let me talk to her' I mouthed to Maggie, she just shook her head a turned away to continue talking.

After what had seemed like forever, she hung up. I bombarded her with questions.

"All I know is that she's going to be back here in 3-4 weeks. That's it." Was the only response she gave me. Fuck.

You have 3-4 weeks to get your shit together, Gerard.

-------- 4 weeks later *when Ava arrives in the US.* ---------

Maggie had left us alone for the rest of the tour. She said she was tired of our shit. Whatever that happened to be. She hadn't even mentioned Ava once since the last time she spoke to her. I was extremely upset. What if she wasn't coming back to the U.S?

Many questions had flooded my brain. I decided to go for a drink after the show. A little bar not far from the venue was where I went, I walked in to be smacked in the face with a strong smell of voldaks of all sorts and beers.
I took a seat and starting filling myself up.

"Gerard! Wow nice to see you here!" I heard a horrible voice squeal, I looked up to see Serenity.

"Look what the cat dragged in.." I mumbled, rolling my eyes. She didn't back off though, in fact she sat down next to me and placing a hand on my thigh,

"Aww Gee, I know you and Ava aren't together any more, but can't we just start over where we left off?" She sounded fucking desperate. I hated it.

"What makes you so sure I'm not with Ava again?" I spat back at her, she looked back up at me, a smirk planted across her face.

"Well, actually a little rumor spread that Maggie was picking Ava up from the NY airport this afternoon, didn't you hear?"
My head shot up to look at her, I had mixed feelings to whether or not she was lying. I couldn't tell, it was 50/50 chance she could have been back in the states.

My Ava. Back here?

"OH HELL NO!" I heard another voice shout, I saw Frank storm up behind us,

"How many fucking times do I have to kick you out of places? You cheap whore!" He carried on,

"Doesn't matter, I'm leaving. Great show by the way boys, keep it up." And with that she left. Making me feel even more angrier.

"DONT let whatever she said get to you Gerard," Frank started, I looked up at him,

"She said that Maggie was picking Ava up from the airport in NY" I said. His face went pale, as if he knew and I didn't. I didn't wait for his response, I knew she was here.

I stormed out of the bar, ignoring the screams and shouts Frank was giving me. I got into my car and started for New York. If I leave right now I'll get there by late morning at the latest.

I sped off onto the highway, I could faintly see a pair of headlights come towards me, fast. I didn't have time to think before the other car came smashing into mine, my head flung forward, hitting the steering wheel. I felt weak. Metal crashing against one another came into my ears before I was slowly engulfed by darkness.
