You're Never Just A 'Nobody'

Dinner with the Way family was amazing. The food was delicious and conversation was constantly flowing. Donna insists on filling my glass up with wine, so at the end of the night I was practically wasted, but held myself together.
After about 2 hours of this, Gerard's parents left to go out with theit family, leaving Gerard, Mikey, Mikey's friends and I alone in the house.

"So Ava, what kind of games did you play in Australia?" Mikey asked from across the table.

"Games? Like truth or dare, have you ever, stuff like that."

"Ohh! I love have you ever!" Exclaims Mikey's friend, Pete (a/n: lmao I'm sorry I had too).

We all decided on playing have you ever, with another one of Mikey's friends starting,

"Have you ever... smoked pot" Darren stated. Pete and I were the only ones that took a sip, causing everyone to laugh.

"Have you everrrr, been in love?" Darren was the only one that drank. Mikey looked over at Gerard confusingly.

"What about Serenity?" Mikey pipes up, Gerard looks over at me and then to Mikey,

"I don't know, just didn't feel like love." He looks back over at me and smiles, I smile back and we continue,

"Hmmm, have you ever,-" Mikey looks directly at Gerard "- jumped off the second fall and broke your foot." The boys laugh, even though I have no idea what's going on, I can't help but to laugh at the idea.
Gerard explains to me about how the times in highschool was really hard and he jumped out of the building.

After many more rounds, I'm pretty sure we were all smashed. We decided to watch some horror movies such as; The Ring, Wolf Creek (I insisted), The Purge and many more. Gerard and I curled up on on of the recliners while Mikey, Pete and Darren had the three seated couch. I didn't really watch anything, just played with my necklace.

--------------- 3 hours later ---------------

I feel hands on the back of my neck and knees. I struggle to open my eyes, but I know it's Gerard.

"Shhhh, don't worry. I'll take you back into my room." His voice is hushed and quiet.

I'm put down on the bed, and seconds later Gerard comes around the other side. His arms wrap around my waist and he rests his chin onto of my head.

"Ava," Gerard starts, "This has been one of the best Christmas' ever. Thankyou." He leans over me and kisses my forehead.

"I could say the same, Gerard. Thankyou." His grip tightens on my waist and when I hear his light snores, is when I fall asleep.
