Burn Bright

"Congratulations Kasey, you passed." The man intrusting my test said as he handed me my license.

"Thanks." I muttered then left with Carly right behind me.

"Cheer up sport, don't been sad this is a good day for you." She said as we drove to my house.

"Yeah but now my ass whole of a mother is gonna fire you."

"Dont talk like that," She warned me, "And its not like were never gonna see each other again, you have my number, and I'll always be there for you." She promised me.

"Thanks." I said, the rest of the drive was silent, when we walked into my house, the staff all yelled congratulations. I liked the staff we had, they payed more attention to me than my own parents did. I thanked them all and Sean brought me my favorite, strawberry ice cream as a treat. When I finished, I made my way into the kitchen to clean the bowel but I stopped when I saw my mom talking to Carly.

"I did you the favor of moving all of your things out of the house." My mom told her proudly.

"Where did you put it?" Carly asked.

"In a storage unit, feel free to pick up your things whenever you please." She told Carly then turned around, that's when she noticed me. "Hello Kasey, good job on passing your test." She said as she walked past me and placed a hand on my shoulder, that was the most affection she ever shows me.

"Well, you mom kinda told me to leave now." Carley said.

"Please don't." I begged.

"I'm sorry kid," She walked over to me and gave me a long hug, "I'm gonna miss you." She told me then left the house.

I didnt feel like doing anything much so I went into my car and called up Gerard.

"Hey." He said, he didnt sound happy.

"Hey," I replied in the same tone.

"Passed the test?" He asked.

"yeah, and now Carley is gone. Whats wrong with you?"

"Wanna come over?"

"Sure, be there soon."

It must be big if Gerard wouldn't tell me over the phone. I ran up into my room and grabbed an overnight bag, just in case, then left out the door without another word to anyone in my house. When I got to Gerard's place, it was about 4 in the afternoon. No one's car was home but I could see that Gerard's light was on, I tried opening the door and found it to be unlocked. After I went inside I locked the door behind me and went into Gerard's room.

"Hey." I said as I threw my bag on his bed.

"How did you get in?"

"You left the door unlocked."

"Oh,"

"Where is everyone?"

"Mikey is at a friends house, and my parents are spending the night somewhere, so its just me and you tonight."

"Cool, so what you upset about?" I asked.

"Remember that girl I told you about, the one I liked."

"Yeah.." I pressed him for more.

"Well I asked her out and she turned me down."

"I'm sorry Gee,"

"That's the 3rd person to turn me down." He fell back on his bed.

"I'm sorry, you'll find someone." I said as I moved my bag and sat next to him, I laid down with him and cuddled to his side for comfort, he pulled me close and started to play with my hair.

"I feel like I'm gonna die a virgin." He stated.

"Your Gerard Way, that's not gonna happen." I told him.

"I hope so..." He trailed off.

There was a few moments of silence, I knew he was thinking about something.

"What are you thinking about?" I asked.

"Nothing, it's stupid."

"Tell me please." I begged.

"Promise not to overreact?"

"Sure."

"I was kinda worndering if you would have sex with me?" He asked.
